Really feel for the majority of decent people in Hungary.

I would too, but I don't know enough about the situation on the ground there to know if those same decent people (those not being directly targeted and discriminated againat) have the power to kick Orban and his goons out if they put their time and energy to it.

Re the online racist abuse after the Euros final ...

The UK Policing Unit said of the 207 posts on social media identified as criminal, 123 accounts belong to individuals outside the UK.
A total of 34 accounts have so far been identified as being in the UK, and 11 of those account holders have now been arrested.

So of 157 accounts identified, less than a quarter were actually from the UK.

Eleven less edgelords thinking they are untouchable in the UK sounds like a good thing and worth it to me, if only to set an example.

Interesting.

So, assuming the above is a truism (a debate in of itself), is it really the sole arbiter of what defines a good leader?

If so, why is it that much more important than other issues?

If not, what else is Orban getting up to that might be approved of?

And purely for the record, this is what someone very much like Orban in a nearby country is currently getting up to:

Sounds grim, what drives someone to do something like that, it's absolutely beyond me.

So tragic and sad.

Lots of victims and people hurt.

If the US had given the money spent on the Afghan war to all soldiers who fought in it, each one would be a multimillionaire.
