whitlock Posted 28 October 2020 Posted 28 October 2020 It's bizarre at how excited i am to see this training facility considering i'm never (unlikely) going to be able to visit it. We'er going to be the envy of every club in Europe with these facilities!

Spudulike Posted 28 October 2020 Posted 28 October 2020 Why do LCFC need a Sports Turf Academy? Is it to provide Turf expertise to others as a saleable service? Sounds like a ground breaking (arf) enterprise not seen elsewhere. Others might follow

Babylon Posted 28 October 2020 Posted 28 October 2020 So the original ideas included stables, paddock and horse racing track!!

Think that’s just what the Groundsman had in mind for his dream sports turf academy. I imagine all those different turfs would require different techniques etc. Given King Power’s love for polo and horse racing though, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did something about that too! 1
Fox in the North Posted 30 October 2020 Author Posted 30 October 2020 Just checked the Charnwood Planning website and noticed a new document from yesterday for the discharge of condition 33. Condition 33 (Travel Plan) For the avoidance of doubt, Condition 33 is reproduced below: 'No part of the development hereby permitted shall be occupied until a Sustainable Travel Plan has been submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Thereafter the agreed Travel Plan shall be implemented in accordance with the approved details. REASON: To reduce the need to travel by single occupancy vehicle and to promote the use of sustainable modes of transport in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (2018). ' Highways Comments (Condition 33): The LHA's initial response with regard to the discharge of planning condition 33 was based on a review of a Travel Plan (TP) report produced by Curtins dated 24 February 2020 . The LHA made a number of comments on the February 2020 TP which it required to be included in a revised TP prior to the LHA advising no objection to discharge of the condition. The applicant has subsequently submitted a revised TP by Curtins, dated 16 October 2020. The LHA has reviewed the revised TP and is pleased to confirm that it satisfactorily responds to all of the points raised in the LHA's observations of 08 October 2020. The LHA therefore has no objection to discharge of condition 33. Moving in really can't be far off now 1
Spudulike Posted 30 October 2020 Posted 30 October 2020 Is this related to the killer junction? Or is that still an unresolved issue?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 October 2020 Posted 30 October 2020 How much have we bagged in late fees now then?
jeffschlupp Posted 30 October 2020 Posted 30 October 2020 5 minutes ago, Spudulike said: Is this related to the killer junction? Or is that still an unresolved issue? If I remember right the travel plan was that the club would instruct everyone to turn left and go through Seagrave when leaving the complex, and that they wouldn't open the show pitch to spectators until the junction was dealt with. If that's been accepted then I see no reason why we can't move in once finished.

LCFC would have to prove their loss - aka liquidated damages. With an existing training ground, that aren’t losing money in that sense or having to hire a facility. Possibly new staff they’ve had to hire, equipment they’ve had readied for the new place or anything else. We could only argue if we’d missed out on rent for the Belvoir Drive or similar. The further completion of the highways situation means that the contractor can argue that the site was never going to be open until then. Therefore fault is shared or even negotiated
Popular Post UHDrive Posted 30 October 2020 Popular Post Posted 30 October 2020 Absolutely stoked with how it's looking especially the main building which is showing one of the dining areas (and of course sitting on marble flooring as most of the building is). Imagine BR sipping his coffee in that building and writing his notes in his little book as he's watching the players through that fab floor to ceiling glazing. 1 13
