Does anyone know of a chippy in or near to Leicester thst uses beef dripping to cook fish n chips?

Most Yorkshire chippies cook with beef dripping & tastes bloody lovely.

Not the best for your ticker though!

There was one in Anstey, I remember my dad telling me about it a couple of years back when he lived in Newtown linford. Can’t remember the name of it but I can remember a sign for it pointing up link road.

There's a very good chippy in Anstey, William Walton. Family run, excellent fish n chips & won't break the bank.

Yes I’ve just found it on Google, I’m wondering if that’s the one my dad was on about. Though there is no mention of beef dripping.

Apparently some famous tiktokker went and it’s gone viral. Just wanted to know what the fuss was about if anyone had been.

Place near me does large fish, chips and sauce/peas for something like £5.50 every Tuesday and it’s absolutely bang on.

Not really a surprise though. Leicester is just about the furthest City away from the sea.

Weymouth is great for fish and chips
