We’ve played over a quarter of the game with a man advantage. And they’ve still had more shots on target than us

Still had more possession though, that is all that matters right. To be honest we are 95% likely to finish 5th with a football philosophy that is sustainable... yet you still hear negativity

You know it, be dreadful if some shithouse team won the league with an average of 41% one year right? 😂

Well, sorry didn’t finish my comment... honestly I don’t see how Leicester fans can be negative, how many seasons have we been chasing CL places. Yes we did win the league with rush football, but for me that is against the grain and not the footie you can rely on. I might be speaking like a spurs fan now but honestly using the ball well and keeping hold of it is easier to keep consistency, as long as we mix it up with good attacking players which Rodgers does

I’m not even being negative I’m discussing this fixture not the season as a whole, and It’s a tough fixture, I think that’s the second point we’ve taken there in my lifetime and I am far from young.

They should of won that game, they’ve shot themselves in the foot by missing several chances at the end of the second half and a daft sending off. We battled well but predictably struggled to really impose ourselves on the game until they went down to ten at which point we did take full advantage in professional fashion.

But I will say something negative, if  we want to actually be a top four, even six side, we need better than last night, can’t be relying on teams missing chances and getting stupid sending off’s, and need  better from every fixture since the restart aside palace. That simple.

Think you greatly exaggerated our period of dominance there and we only really created one chance that’s the difference. If you watch the PL highlights video more than half of it is arsenal 2nd half goals or chances that’s why it’s easy to state they should of gone in with a bigger lead. The header in particular was an absolute let off.

I didn't say "dominance" I said we were the better team, which I think we were. Once we'd settled we were controlling the game, held possession and passing the ball around much better than they were. I'm not saying we dominated or that we used that time to pile on heaps of pressure (which given our current run was never going to happen). It's not an all or nothing situation.

I personally don't use highlights to judge the actual flow of a game. Way too many times it's felt like I've watched an entirely different game live than I am later that night on MOTD. That being said, they didn't score. Either we stopped them or they weren't good enough to finish. A draw was a fair result imo (even before the sending off) on run of play both teams had. We can play some great football at times and pass the ball around really well (as the Arsenal game showed). We just need to speed up movement of the ball and be a bit less two dimensional at times when entering that last third.

Points at the Emirates are as rare as hen’s teeth, so can’t really grumble.

Shame we shat the bed in the last 10 mins though. They were on their backs, legs ackimbo, but we stood around trying to get a bit of fluff out of our navel.

Lack of desire to win from some is disappointing. We were not like this 2 years ago.

there were vastly the better side in the first half, Kasper and their inability to take their chances was the only reason we weren’t dead and buried at HT tbf. Second half was a little more even and obviously once down to 10 we were on top.

Actually we were starting to get on top before the sent off. I feel we could actually win if the sent off did not occur and they would not sit back as much.

No respect for Arsenal at all. They are like a bunch of entitled little schoolboys. Throwing themselves on the floor at every opportunity once they got their snotty little noses in front and waiting until 15 seconds after the restart to bring on their first subs. And then, when things went against them, the churlish accusations trying to get Vardy banned. Horrible spoilt little brats. Remembering that arrogant celebratory picture in their dressing room after a ref-assisted victory against us in our title-winning year just adds to the satisfaction of knowing that our little provincial club rained on their parade - again! Vardy snubbing them and staying with us - priceless!

No we haven't, he went with 15 minutes to go.

Genuinely thought we played well, passed it around and closed them down well. I don't know what I think about Gray. He assisted in the goal so I can't moan too much. He's a confident player, doesn't hide and seems to want to do something positive with the ball when he gets it. Unfortunately that something sometimes winds me up. The classic moment in the game is when he's pinged the ball and TWO players immediately make great runs through the defense, splitting them and he had the chance in a single touch to get one of our players in around the back. And he doesn't. And that's not a one off, he constantly did it. It's like he can't pass right. I hope it's something they can work on, we have pretty quick players and should be working that goal line more than we do imo.

We've been saying this for years about Gray, he'll never be consistent enough unfortunately. At the absolute best he should be a squad player for us, he will never be good enough to be a regular in a team aiming for top 6. He got the assist though, so fair play to him, just a shame he doesn't do it enough for us.

8 minutes injury time though, so 98 minutes overall. And we played 22 (a quarter) of those minutes against 10 men. The ball was actually in play for about 2 of those minutes mind.

I can see that but the 8 minutes was added because football wasn't being played due to stoppages. The game was still 90 minutes with 15 against 10.

Arsenal played very direct yesterday because they knew our back 3 were new to the system and Lacazette can hold up everything which he did, Arsenal played old school football against us and for that short period it worked so fair play to them. Obviously Brendan sorted it after and we were much more solid after the break and were in control. Even if we sign better players next season we will still have games like this where we struggle to create. we play in a very competitive division but having better players will hopefully mean less of the types of game where we don’t create good chances.

We will just forget that 8 minutes injury time ever happened then shall we.

Well, and the fact that 4 x 22 is 88 and not 98!

it seems like a win, but I feel for Vardy, he's scored against Arsenal (yet again) and not increased his stats on goals scored against top six sides.....

It has to be the most spurious appeal ever. As someone else suggested, looks like a 'nothing to lose' effort.

It’s pathetic splitting of hairs anyway. We had a significant period of time against ten men, if it’s a few minutes short of a quarter of the match I sincerely apologise 🙄 but unfortunately the point still stands

Arrogant waste of time that should be punished with an increase of his ban.

It should get increased because their defense is that he is young & didn't mean to do it
