Deserved to win lol

there were vastly the better side in the first half, Kasper and their inability to take their chances was the only reason we weren’t dead and buried at HT tbf. Second half was a little more even and obviously once down to 10 we were on top.

First 20 we could have been 1 up from the Nacho corner, they then score with their first decent chance and we've had our equaliser ruled out. Then for the last 20mins Kasper kept us properly in the game.

Arsenal not winning last night has strengthened Man City's case. If, as now looks most probable, either City or Wolves get 5th place then the establishment will prefer one of their preferred clubs being included in the cosy UCL group.

You really think CAS would be swayed by that?

Yeah but beyond Lacazette's headed miss, their chances at the end of the first half weren't super clear cut either. Just a flurry of half chances (at best - maybe quarter chances!) and long range shots.

They definitely created more in the first half, but more by quantity than consistent quality. They just kept hitting us on the counter with silky passing, but without much end product.

I find this so so strange. They don’t take into account we’ve robbed every time we’ve been there since 2014.

This is exactly what is wrong with Arsenal. You play for Arsenal. ARSENAL. Would you see guys like Adams, Henry, Viera etc. Putting up comments like this after a 1-1. Never. They would be fuming with themselves for not getting the win, against anybody. Such weak individuals at that club that steal a living. They did the same after the 2-1 against us with the daft picture. Such a poor mentality.

three at the back is OK when you are playing a team you will dominate. Last night it gave arsenal too much space on the wings and even to chip over the three.  I hope we will not repeat this formation against better opposition.

When we looked in trouble Brendan did not fix it. We were lucky not to be 3 down at HT.

Yeah if we play with a back three again, we will probably need Ndidi sitting deeper to help the attacks that come down the wings.

We felt very exposed down the wings, particularly on our left.

Hamsa and Ndidi in front.

If we are overrun then I think a flat four is better - he should have taken the wolves guy off and put fuchs on  middle of first half.  This all related to his apparent belief that youri is a holding mid!

Ridiculous, no way on earth that card gets rescinded

There are four games left

they probably don’t feel they have much to lose by appealing

if he gets an extra game for a flippant appeal then he just misses the last fixture

You know your football club is screwed when your own players think they deserved to win a game that they didn't deserve to win 😂

They could have won it by half time... but they didn't coz they are so poor. Arteta must be itching to get to a transfer window.

It doesn't mean they deserved to win. I thought a draw was a fair result based on the 90 minutes

Back three, two Dms and two wingbacks, where are the goals going to come from?

Really should have started Praet instead of Perez , stronger utility player . Away to Arsenal with their fast , class attackers you need to be pragmatic.

They were vastly better for 25 minutes of the first half, after 15 minutes of not being able to get it out of their own half.

Us being on top 'once down to 10' amounted to almost 25 minutes of play. It's hard to be sure what you're saying with 'was a little more even' for the first part of the second half, but I read it as 'but Arsenal were still better'. IMO we looked more threatening before the red card.

Possession was 60-40 to us. Shot/shots on target almost identical.

It's really not a poor call to question whether they deserved a win at our expense.

we have to take that risk, the previous approach of cautiousness meant we were getting nowhere in forward play.  Even on this new formation, we still struggling to score.

Well with that formation we could have beaten Palace 5-0.

A flash chance and a correctly ruled out goal doesn’t mean we were on top for the other 25 minutes though does it. They were much the better side first half, completely dominating nearly half of it.

We could very conceivably gone in three down at half time, and didn’t really dominate the game at any point while it was 11 vs 11.

It wasn’t a great performance until they went down to 10 to be honest, but we battled well hung in and once the red card was shown took full advantage.
