Kapustka to Legia Warsaw?

Recommended Posts

Just come back from cruciate ligament injury in January, included in friendlies before restart, does Rogers rate him and will give him game time next season? Funds not needed to strengthen the wings as desperately as he’s stepped up?

im living in football manager world aren’t I?:D

From what I’ve seen of him, nothing has shouted he’ll make it.

That really is a bold prediction 4 years into his Leicester career that’s seen him make about 3 appearances and loaned to our farmers in Belgium.

Wasn't it £2m rising to a possible £7.5m with add ons?

So £2m then.

Only seem to be able to find the other way round, £5.4m upfront with £2m in add ons

This has to be one of our worst so signings ever. A £7.5m player, for a club where the record signing was £8m 18 months prior, to contribute absolutely zilch in 4 years is pretty astonishing.

£5.4m so not that bad and nowhere near one of our worst signings. Nobody will remember him when the question is asked in five years.

Some transfers come off, some don't. Same as any club. Why does everything have to be the best or the worst? There's plenty of space in between.

Worst counter argument ever. Sorry, EVER.

He is a strange one. When we signed him, everyone was raving over what a talent he was on the back of a great Euros, seemed like a bit of a coup at the time.  For whatever reason, he just did not kick on and develop, had back luck with injuries, maybe just didn't fit in or adapt to the UK, he was only a young lad trying to find his feet in a new country far away from family etc after all. For whatever reason, (aptitude? language barriers? homesick?)  he never really settled or got a chance, even his loan spell at OH didn't work out for him.

Sometimes things just are not meant to be and this seems like one of those cases. Hopefully he will get his move and pick up his career back in his homeland.

Polish press reporting this will be done on Tuesday or Wednesday, medical tomorrow - he'll leave permanently and sign a two-year contract with Legia plus the option of a third year.

Apparently his agent and the club wanted City to cancel his contract and let him go for free, but we have managed to negotiate some sort of undisclosed fee for him.

I imagine we probably wanted to get some kind of sell on clause in the deal just in case
