Popular Post LCFC1996 Posted 8 February 2021 Popular Post Posted 8 February 2021 Whoever said we needed to develop one footballing identity from youth levels to first team they probably weren’t expecting an inability to defend set pieces to be that identity 😂 1 11
moore_94 Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 Derby corner taker could give Maddison a run for his money at not beating the first man from corners
LCFC1996 Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 “Get the ball to Callum Hulme so he can hoof it just too far for Arlott-John or Wakeling to keep it in” was definitely the team talk

sacreblueits442 Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 ...technically so poor, we pick these players up at 9 years old and there has been little amount of skill being taught!!!

sacreblueits442 Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 ...we are like pub football players!!! Our body shape in receiving the ball and releasing passes is woeful. Every game that I have seen this season and last we are second best technically and structurally.
moore_94 Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 (edited) Half Time 2-0 Derby First 40 minutes very poor and very little to be impressed by, Derby fully deserve the lead Moved the ball around and playing much better football the last 5 minutes of the half Edited 8 February 2021 by moore_94 1

Webbo Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 Danny Simpson hasn't done himself any favours if he thinks this putting him in the shop window.
norwichfox Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 Dear oh dear, that first half looked a mess from a City point of view. Anyone managed to work out what Danny Simpsons role is here? other than not being a defender. Somethings really needs to change to do justice to this magnificent training centre at youth level and it surely needs to be staff changes as a starting point.
Greg2607 Posted 8 February 2021 Posted 8 February 2021 Ultimately, I think you have to have a youth system that Mimics the style and efforts of the first team. It's how we build an identity as a club. It makes it too hard to progress from youth ranks to senior team if they then have to learn a new style and system of play. If the coaches can't teach that, then it's rank and file change that's required. 1
