How long have Portsmouth been down in League One/Two? Seems like forever. I know they beat us 6-1 under Sousa but besides that result i genuinely have no memory of us playing against Portsmouth in the early 2010s.

Just looked it up, they beat us 6-1 on 24 September 2010.

I remember bloody Futacs scoring for them in a draw at our gaff, must have been 2011/12 and Nige had taken us back on.

Kasper made a stupid stop in the reverse fixture that year too but I can't remember the score, think Nuge bagged.

**** Portsmouth, really not keen on that club. Some of the most unpleasant fans around, not particularly aggressive, just gobby and Aggy and generally unlikeable. The wrong side of passionate. Wouldn't have been fussed if they folded a few years ago.

I agree. I never liked them either. The feeling is mutual on their side btw. Portsmouth fans don't like us very much.

Why do Gillingham always kick off early?

Pretty sure I'd seen before that the club made the choice while there's no fans in.

I may not be 100% right there but I did wonder the same thing before.

Agreed (although they don't seem to like anyone, chip in their shoulder being in Southamptons shadow) a lot of it goes back to the year we both went up in 2002 and we were in administration. And general racism on their part. Yeah, real scummy bunch down there.

I don't hate him. He's a decent guy really.

Hate what happened under his watch with us of course.

Good bloke, half decent football gaffer at a lower level.

Inherited a terrible squad here & did nothing to improve it.

Fair enough, even so I hate him regardless, maybe meeting him would change that perception but for me he is always an annoying reminder to the lowest point of our history.

He was dreadful for us. Being a nice bloke shouldn't disguise what a poor job he did.

I agree he was dreadful for us.

We weren't great but we shouldn't have been relegated.

His fingerprints are all over that shiitshow.

He didn't, however, cause us as much long term damage as Peter Taylor did.

Geoff, I've called an ambulance for you.

He sure is.

When he was at Leicester, apparently his family were quite unsettled (three of his children are deaf) and he pleaded with them that things would be fine.

Still crying over us being 19 points (or whatever it was) behind them in the playoffs and doing them with an offside goal.

Much like my dislike of Swindon.

They certainly didn't like us outside Fratton Park after that play off game.

I thought Lincoln would fall away but fair play to them for staying up top. None of the League 1 'big 4' of Sunderland,  Charlton, Portsmouth and Ipswich are showing any signs of consistency at all.

Yes, I know I'm a **** for saying 'big 4'...

Hull have fell away a bit. Still third but the top 6 is so tight.
