fox_favourite Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 Glad it sounds like he's going. Never quite took to him and seemed a bit of a tinker...to put mildly

This news is irrelevant to me An extra £8-10 million might be the difference for signing a squad player as useful as Justin has been for us, or affording a player like Trincao. 1

Depends whether the fee is genuine or whether it is a way of them signing him and us paying his wages. I believe deals are structured this way sometimes when a club wants to offload a player but the buying club can't afford the wages. Edited 23 August 2020 by reynard 1

I agree that we need to tidy up this situation and others... and to convert them, to money. I am just frustrated that we have made so little progress on improving our competitiveness. I admit it would be better to be in the relegation zone with a few extra mill in the bank... yet I was hoping we could sort out come attacking options to unlock defences and to win games.

TrentFox Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 If I’m behind the curve on this one forgive me, but Mail seem to think £7m is the figure. Surely we haven’t managed to negotiate that, have we? Awesome if so.

Sharpe's Fox Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 thought he was a good player but he didn’t fit into our style of play or seem to exert himself like Ulloa used to. Can’t argue that he got himself goals when in the side, though.
Foxes96 Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 If we actually manage to get some money back for Slim then this will be some of the best business we’ll do this window. Laughing. 1

Well if we get rid of players like him we should be able to get some attacking options in . The reason we’ve made little progress is we have so many average ti rubbish players on high salaries that nobody wants to pay so out hands have been tied We’ve got rid of Kaputski and King, possibly Slimani if we can also get rid of Silva, Ghezzal and Diabate that’s a whole lot of money freed up Edited 23 August 2020 by baldeagle
Guest Mee-9 Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 I wonder if we recouped any money from Monaco in loan fees? Might cushion the blow of the financial loss.
Popular Post sdb Posted 23 August 2020 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2020 £7m is great business for them too btw. Let's not pretend this is some dud we're selling. 8 1

tsintskaro Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 he had 9 goals and 8 assists in 18 game,so getting him for 8 mil is win for any french side

Babylon Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 £7m is about the most we could expect... when you add in all the loan fees we've had for him, we've clawed back £12m+ of the fee.
Paninistickers Posted 23 August 2020 Posted 23 August 2020 7m is about right for him. Didn't I read that he was initially valued by Steve Walsh as a 10-15m player when first identified? 1

Bit more on the loans fees newcastle paid 3.5M for half of season Would have thought similar fees for others clubs for the full season 1
