I get fed up of precious entitled people shouting abuse at people, then crying when they stand up for themselves and say something back.

 

That's totally separate to the fact he's not really someone you want going in to battle when the going gets tough. Rodgers clearly made sure to keep him onside and now he's upset he's gone.

Everyone getting prissy about a few fans being told to **** off has presumably never heard a football fan give it out to a player?

 

I know we all want footballers to be avatars for our own fantasies, but he’s a human copping a lot of shit from a large group of loud people. Why wouldn’t he tell them to **** off?

 

Having said that, I thought the fan who went after Pearson should FOAD, so what do I know?

Everybody on here was desperate for him to play for England and like almost all our England internationals , his form is crap afterwards. I have seen it with Vardy, Drinkwater, Barnes, Justin and even Maguire. There is a curse somewhere I' m sure. He needs to snap out of it double quick if only for his own reputation.

Do you not see an issue with the captain on the pitch swearing at fans, yeah it won't be nice getting dogs abuse, but to lose your professionalism and say f off to fans is disgraceful.

He was nowhere to be seen in post-match interviews when he was honking the place out at the start of last season and missing a huge chance in Naples. Finds a bit of form and he’s in front of every microphone going.

 

If he was chocolate he’d eat himself. And the problem with that is that when times are tough and he’s getting criticised he can’t tolerate it.

On his day a sublime player and we've been blessed to have him play for City.  Looks like it'll be a while before we see another of his class don a shirt for us. 

 

Unfortunately after he comes back from an injury it seems to affect his form for quite a while afterwards.  And this time it's at the worst time.
