Agreed that Cliches is phenomenal, think it must be the only podcast I've listened to every episode of for 4+ years without missing an episode or getting bored. The listener's Mesut Haaland Dicks episodes can get a bit tiresome listening to breathy wet mouthed voice notes but they're very rare and still perfectly fine. Feel like it's really come into its own the past 18 months or so once they realised Eccleshare / Walker is the best balance with Miller as backup.

On the Quickly Kevin note, really struggling with this 00s job Scull is doing. Good guests so far in Kev Phillips and Paul "Jewelleh, Paul Jewell" Jewell – but it's really missing Marden as a chipper-inner, new producer not a patch on him, and Alex Brooker is very likeable but doesn't really open up conversation like Josh Widdecombe did on QK. So far they really seem to be hanging their hat on the "remember Dream Team! How good was Dream Team! 2003 what an era!" schtick. Scull seems a good bloke but has always just been someone who seems to piggy back on jokes so having him driving it just makes it a bit bland. Might get better with more guests

Bang on about the voice notes, why don’t they vet the submissions better. It’s always an Arsenal fan sounding accent recording like they’ve just thrown up hungover.

Also agree about Be Having You. It lacks the chemistry or energy or nicheness of QK, and maybe the genuine love of 90s football that the previous trio had. I've only just started listening to Jewell one, but the Kevin Phillips one I found to be a bit dull. Maybe because he's still "in the game" so to speak - so not quite as open and ready to offload great/funny anecdotes. It also focused a lot on the 90s!!! They need feature stings and more correspondence, the Steve Ogrizovic stuff was exactly the type of thing we need from listeners.

Just finished the Jewelleh ep and found it absolutely crackers that on a 00s specific podcast they devoted 5 mins or so as an aside to that record-breaking Derby season. Should've accounted for at least a third of the pod, bloody mad

Visited the leaning tower of Pisa this week, and it's not as tall as I had imagined.

I hope you gave thanks to St Ranieri.

Been quoted £695 for a porcelain crown today - is that about right? And £299 for a filling.

Root canal and crown cost me £1200 a couple years back so probably not miles off if it's just a filling.

Yeah, not the most enjoyable way to part of money. I got one of the Cerec ones and they 3D printed it there and then so didn't have to faff about at least when they took the mould.

Still, ouch in many ways.

£299 seems a lot for a filling to me brother, I had to have a couple recently and they were £180 a pop, and this is in a leafy affluent suburb of Leeds

Amalgam or Composite ?

Bit more work than just a filling, he’s got to drill out the old filling and refill it basically

Dental work is fvcking awful for both the act itself and the cost. Anyone having to have it (and shell out for it has my sympathy.

Mind you, I can only imagine what life was like before such work (and painkillers to assist it) was pioneered.

Nowt better than playing a full album which ends just as you finish your morning commute. Such a difficult thing to time to perfection.

That's top tier, I'm just happy when  my podcast finishes as I walk in.
