If he carries on like this I can't see him staying with us for more than 1 season. We are more than likely just a stepping stone

We will make sure we get a lot for him. We aren’t easy to buy from

I remember watching Ricardos first half a dozen games and thinking “bloody hell, he’s far too good for us and is destined for bigger things”.

Having exactly the same thoughts about this kid.

If we carry on like this, he could be with us for 15 years

He needs to spend most of his time standing directly behind our taller players.

On a different note. What was Maddison doing kneeling behind the wall on that free kick?

He’s a Barca type signing. Generational

talent.

barca financial issues means they likely will fall away in terms of pulling power for a while. obvs a huge club that will return to it eventually, but i imagine it will be at least a few years before theyre a real big threat at the top of the footballing tree.

Weren't people posting the same about Soyuncu?

Him too. When these two get together it’ll be frightening.

Cleverly stopping the prospect of a low driven free kick that can go under the wall when they all jump.

His level of defending and confidence for a 19 year old... everytime I see him he impresses more. I was a bit worried he was too right footed, no concerns anymore, the kid is a class act I've not seen before at this age. Hope we have for two or three years but fear the vultures will be circling next summer. Still as others have said, we will get our money's worth and a hell of a transfer fee when he does. Again, bloody amazing for his age.

He’ll be offered a new contract end of the season for sure

Wes Fofana is not the best defender to ever play the game, whoever made that statement is a delusional cvnt.

He is just a poor man’s Zack Whitbread.

That's really sad. I've never thought that a player is 'far too good for us'.

Disappointing.

Kante, but I did try to put that to one side after the first couple of games.

Disappointing.

Why is it sad?

I believe Ricardo and (potentially) Fofana are good enough to play for an elite European club like Barca, Bayern or Madrid. What’s disappointing about that?
