Back to how he was under Covid and the Cup Final, I'm inclined to believe that past managers have told him to stay in our half.

He was genuinely very good tonight.

A sentence I never thought I'd type in a thread titled "Luke Thomas".

Solid tonight which is quite refreshing to be able to say. I thought the whole team including Mavididi in front of Luke worked hard tonight and sustained that throughout the game.

He has improved under Rowett. Not brilliant, but a good game today, fair play. Still has moments of stupidity, but his positioning is definitely better on defending.

Fair play, Luke.

1 brain-dead moment when he committed a needless foul but other than that I thought he was really good tonight

He does this all the time and it infuriates me. Not just him, any professional footballer, but he does it more than most.

Ball going out of play or nowhere, Thomas stupidly runs into the back of them causing an absolutely needless free kick. How professional footballers continue to not recognise these situations blows my mind. The Thomas one tonight you could see coming an absolute mile off, running full pelt straight into the back of him, just pure stupidity.

That being said, he was a lot better tonight overall.

Honestly think both players were watching the ball and tripped each other up. Not intentional from Thomas at all

Fair play to him, he was decent at Ipswich and was brilliant tonight.

Maybe having a defensively minded full back as manager to coach him was what he needed.

I still have many, many doubts, but more than happy for him to keep this up and prove me wrong.

Decent game but still finds the time to make absurd challenges which could have been costly

Just imagining the stick if he was the one that gave away the daft pen.

He needs to be aware of where they are on the pitch, it's an easy decision for the ref, just hold off a step or 2 and let the ball drop first
