I think it's very much a central midfielder he's after. If Tielemans / Maddison gets injured or even just simply needs resting/rotating the (fit) cover is currently Hamza or Hamza. 2

AMN being the main target and Chalobah coming in to fill a squad space so that we can let Hamza go out on loan (I think that's where the Chalobah deal has come from, we owe Hamza but need a replacement) Getting AMN in also means added security for about 3 positions in case of an injury crisis. Both will be loans too. 1

This is why we should have gone in for odegaard when we could. Clubs aren't as willing to sell in this window and when a top quality player like that comes up, we had to go for him. Eriksen for me would be a definite no because I don't want us paying 300,000 grand a week for a few months.
