Loved him whilst he was here. Always scored a decent amount each season and worked hard for the team. Scored lots of important goals.

Remember watching him for Preston at Ipswich and thought how much I'd love him at our club. 

I think he had a fantastic record against Ipswich, but I could be wrong. 

One of the few good  signings of the Sven era, probably the 2nd behind Kasper and I was thrilled when he signed for us. 

Love what he did for our club, never met him but would love to. 

Like Lloyd, he's a premier league champion in my eyes

What. A. Player! Loved our Nugent! Class for us. He was indeed Vardy's best man. Vards, an interview, was asked who would be his perfect partner up front. Vardy's reply - Nugent!

Early 2010s team I assume you mean?! He was a significant part of the Great Escape team too lest we forget of course and apart from his heart in mouth penalty miss in the most important game of that season (v West Ham at home, the 2-1 win), he was pretty decent I thought! As others have said, a shame he didn't stick around after Nige had left and to then go on to be a part of the greatest team achievement ever in football!

Can’t recall the game - think it was promotion season? Knockers had gone on some mazy run at the KP and failed to put Nuge in after attempting some audacious back-heel, for no apparent reason. Nuge just walked up to him and mimicked a simple side-footed pass and walked off. Wonderful.

And was absolutely nothing like embodying any negative poor team. If anything he embodied the class of 13/14 and a level of togetherness and playing with a smile on your face with your mates.

 

proper decent player Nuge. Always rated him at PNE and other places he played prior to us. Good servant with us and scored some very good and crucial goals.

Amazing to think he was scoring in the PL 3/4 years before joining us with pompey. And he scores against us! Hes joined a lot of clubs over his career and made a fair bit of money so hes had a good long career and made the right moves. It must weigh on his mind sometimes the what iffs of not becoming a consistent PL player perhaps.

What a player he was for us! I remember feeling underwhelmed when he first signed. He was coming off some hard times after Pompey messed him around. However, his performances from the start of his time here soon set me straight. Such an important player.

That Liverpuddlian impersonator/comedian did a brilliant dub over of that game on You Tube that I've never been able to find again since 2015 sadly - when Rodgers was in charge at the time at Anfield. Comedy gold!
