FoxyJim1987 Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 So what do we think the team will be for this one? Kasper Thomas Soyuncu Evans Ricardo Mendy Hamza Barnes Maddison Albrighton Kelechi 1
StanSP Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 Reckon Castagne will start on left, Ricardo on the right. Same midfield and front 3 as today. 2
Popular Post Manini Posted 18 February 2021 Popular Post Posted 18 February 2021 No idea but I reckon Tielemans will start. Not sure though... 11
knitro Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 Maybe a surprise shout for Nacho considering he can't play midweek and Perez is hurt, but I doubt it - instead we will run Vardy into the ground. 1
Tielemans63 Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 I think this might be one of those games when Madders gets shunted to the right and Albrighton makes way for Hamza who plays alongside Wilf to give Youri a bit more space. Nothing to base this on, just a hunch. A lot depends on Riccy's fitness. 1
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 I can see iheanacho starting this one now with him being suspended for the 2nd leg

Vardy looked a bit rusty again tonight, have him in reserve against Villa and hopefully he gets a good week's training and comes back sharper for the second leg. 3
TonyN11 Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 Maddison has to start so he can chat to his mate Jack throughout the game. 1

Fox in the North Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 (edited) Matty Cash is injured and accordingly to Villa fans on their forum, McGinn and Barkley have been out of sorts. Hopefully we can take advantage of it this time! https://www.villatalk.com/topic/21509-pre-match-thread/#comments Edited 18 February 2021 by Fox in the North

Especially as Ricardo will play who is an attacking full back. I'd like to see Ndidi and Vardy rested, as Kelechi and Hamza or Mendy are more than capable of standing in. The real worry is we don't have any deputy for Barnes. 1

Fox in the North Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 Really hope Castagne and Ricardo are fit enough to go at full steam. Been waiting for this for a long time! 3

That said, that's requires Hamza to be extremely disciplined, Grealish isn't exactly famous for staying on his feet and Hamza isn't exactly famed for his reliability either. 1
RowlattsFox Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 Amartey has done ok but him up against Grealish worries me and looks a penalty waiting to happen. Ricardo at right back. Not sure whether Castagne comes straight back in or whether Thomas plays left back. Thomas did ok and does work well with Barnes going forward. No way he doesn't start Vardy I don't think, even if he has to play next week too.

Well Grealish comes inside a lot so I agree maybe Hamza or Mendy will have to watch him aswell as Albrighton. The way their players tonight screamed whenever someone breathed near them made Grealish look like an honest pro.

But, I do agree, Ricardo and Castange should be right and left back respectively on Sunday. Edited 18 February 2021 by MGLCFC

We certainly won’t man-mark

Will be the Albrighton and Ricardo on the wing and then passing him onto Wilf in the middle when he comes inside. Clear communication and organisation needed 1
foxes_rule1978 Posted 18 February 2021 Posted 18 February 2021 2-0 Leicester, Villa haven’t been great lately, certainly dropped off a bit... we have been tough to beat too
