Absolutley amazed that the club hasnt made them publicly apologise yet. This should all of been done and dusted by monday with full focus on the Southampton game but the lack of communication from the club means we’re still talking about it now. As soon as Foden and Kyle Walker broke covid rules they apologised to the fans and that was the end of it. Should be absolutley no different here

bit of both, really... once there’s a (genuine) apology, there’s likely to be less of a toxic environment on social media and in general. Even this thread might die down a bit

Just logged on and can’t believe this thread is still going and at top of list...same speculation and theories as to who why where and how they should be punished and effect on overall squad morale being repeated ad nauseum in various ways...We know who the 5 are but that’s about the only factual thing we know....Let’s just let the club deal with it and move on from all the speculation .

Maybe. Or maybe they think/know that actions speak louder than words. I'm just not into gestures borne of guilt - malcontents will always be malcontents, as this forum proves daily.

Now I don't know about you, but if any of my previous bosses had sent me home from work because I was allegedly ill and then the same night I was found 'out on the town' there would have been consequences. If you're that ill that you can't go to work and there's a fear you might infect people then going out at best seems disingenuous. It gives an air of selfishness and couldn't give a shit about others. Everyone one makes a mistake though. However, having appeared on video advising all fans that we should stick together, help the NHS and then make a big thing about physical contact in a goal celebration and take the plaudits, he gets caught out yet again. Personally I just think he's a complete arsehole and a pretentious little spoilt twat. Both England and Leicester City clearly aren't that important to him.

Then you'll get "they don't mean it", "they've been forced to do it". Either people want to get over it or they don't.

He had mild flu symptoms and England were concerned about him flying on Thursday with the squad, so they decided to leave him at home. On Friday evening - more than 24 hours after that decision - he visited a casino. He didn’t break any rules and Southgate admitted he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Hang on, they flew out a few days before they played. He'd been sent home long before they played and if I remember rightly he disagreed with their decision that he shouldn't travel with them, he wanted to play.

Also on the Maddison in the casino note, it’s hardly like he got battered, flipped out and called someone a “jap”. From my memory he just on his own in the casino which he is perfectly entitled to do so.
