This may give him a reason now to go to Spurs at the end of the season and an excuse if we are to miss out again on top 4 and fail to get to the FA Cup final. These 5 have let him down more than anyone.

Why was he a wimp? It wasn't his choice to pull out of the squad - he wanted to go. If my boss told me not to go on a work trip that I said I was fine to go on, it would be none of his business what I did with my time the following evening.

He wanted to stay and try to be available for a later match, and it was the England medical staffs decision to send him home, not much else he could do?

 

I imagine plenty of footballers do that kind of thing to try and reduce the likelihood of people coming up to them and pestering them

Yes, Grealish is an utter twat also which is possibly why Southgate is reluctant to pick him also at times? The trouble for Maddison is,  is that Grealish is twice the player he is, so if he'd got half a brain he'd keep his head down 😁
