This is a squad good enough to challenge for top 6. I don't necessarily expect us to finish top 6, but I do think we're good enough to be knocking on the door, similar to West Ham's season last year.

 

It's only the regression that Rodgers has overseen over the past 18 months that has allowed us to forget how good we can be.

Agree, my levels of dislike for him are through the roof.

But no it's not his fault that so many of our players break down with injuries. Maddison could barely stand up towards the end of that game

Baffling post-match comments and not for the first time. Really poor management from him today, and seemingly hasn't ironed out the mentality issue we had last season. Don't like to judge and be rash after 1 game but some worrying signs today.

Genuinely curious if he talks as much BS to them privately as he does to the media?

Yeah I noticed that too

He was absolutely knackered. 
Miles off Fulham who just kept going yesterday right till the end.

Just pay him off asap, better to get rid and get someone that wants to be here than just a coaster. Brendan has run his course here, admire all the highs but there has been too many lows.

There are only two possibilities with the shocking lack of subs today (and the one sub was itself shocking).  Either he’s so incompetent that he thinks he was being smart, or he’s trying to prove a point about transfers and willing to sacrifice points (and players) to do it.  Either one is pretty harrowing as a supporter.

He actively sabotaged that game. Equally utterly inept, criminal and ridiculous at the same bloody time. He mentions players tiring and doesn't offer the astonishingly obvious cure. What a ****.

Think his time here is probably up but we have been unfortunate that no one has come in for him like they thought they would. Can’t see any one taking him from us so the only option is to get rid. I know it will cost but the longer you leave it the worse it will get for us especially if they don’t trust him to sign anyone new.

My opinion of Rodgers is that he’s so fearful of losing, he doesn’t push the boat out to win.

I’m convinced a little gremlin on his shoulder would have been telling him that if he makes too many subs, and it doesn’t work, he’d have been mullered for it.

I think the clubs finances are stretched but not bleak, and they don’t trust him to do good business

So media asks Rogers why he subbed KDH off but doesn’t follow up with why he didn’t bring on players that were tiring for reinforcement. Does he not trust his bench?
