I wouldn't back him either seeing as he/his head of recruitment Congerton screwed us over royally! This team is still better than the absolute dross Rodgers is serving up. The whole team is devoid of confidence and motivation. That has nothing to do with lack of investment. It is because the manager is a weasel and has completely given up.

As I said in the match thread;

 

for the remainder of Brendan’s tenure I’ll be placing £10 on the opposition, every match. If I’m to suffer this I want paying for it. I hope I won’t be able to make much money and he’ll be sacked.. but if he’s here, I’m earning.

Don’t get excited, nothing whatsoever of note has been said, he evens sticks up for Rodgers saying “Rodgers need players back, and players signed, or this season could turn even uglier”

I’ve been on this all season.

 

Decent profit so far. Also have a decent amount on us to be relegated at 18/1.

Throughout the last year he’s pulled off numerous Houdini acts. He should have gone after the defeat to Forest in last seasons FA Cup, for some reason we persisted, we then went on a run of false hope in March-April of 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss, we then ended up losing to Newcastle and we crashed back down again. The final four games of last season were basically a free hit, we picked up three wins against two relegated teams in Norwich & Watford, then a 4-1 win against a shit Southampton team. Finishing 8th was the best we could have achieved, yet despite the majority of last season feeling stale, the board were obviously happy and comfortable, even though a refresh of manager in the summer was ideally needed.

 

Now going into this season we had the worst start possible, however yet again he produced a Houdini act, yet another spell of false hope, where we picked up 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss. Now after the World Cup, we’re back to square one again.

 

He’s produced too many periods of false hope, when all said and done we keep on returning to one particular thing, naivety.

 

We have been far too naive under his leadership over the past 12 months.

 

As I pointed out in the post match thread, we haven’t claimed a single point from a losing position this season, also in 2022 we lost the most points from winning positions in the Premier League.

 

If that doesn’t wake the board up to finally act, then unfortunately nothing will.

"we're doing out best, but it's just not been good enough" if that really is the case then I'm afraid there's no point in keeping you Brendan. If your best is not good enough by your own admission then we need someone who's best is good enough.

So states the obvious. But with internationals on the pitch it should be better than the shower of doo doo it is now.

I'm not saying it's just the lack of investment. It's the fact he's still there and not being backed or sacked. You can't do both, hence the fact we're in the shit

Without Madders we are lost. We have always had 1 or 2 elite don’t get me wrong but the quality of the rest of team has taken a nose dive in the last 12-18 mths.

 

what has happened to Ndidi? So so bad when he was top draw.

Might as well get some joy out of this shitshow of a season, today was printing money - Forest were 21/10 last weekend

Yep, I always do ‘consolation bets’. Unfortunately I’m too broke to gamble and do 50p bet builders, was one goal off a payout today.

You would be silly not to bet on a certainty especially when the outcome is obvious

This is the one thing I can accept from him - would be mental to walk away from the ridiculous dorrar we are paying him - more fool the board for getting too excited when he hadn't had chance to reveal his full ineptitude

Weird answer from Rodgers when asked about signings saying "When the club has signed someone, they will let us know"...   Almost like he isn't involved in the process whatsoever.

 

I just feel like his heart isn't in it and he has not gotten over not being able to sign anyone in the summer. Toys thrown out the pram and prolonged sulk. I don't think any manager tries to get the sack, but I do feel that he wouldn't be that bothered if he was let go with his big pay-off. I am just not seeing any hunger or drive in him.

 

He clearly has always believed he is better than he is, and so is completely the wrong manager for a relegation battle. We need someone motivated to save this club, not someone who feels he is entitled to be in a better situation than he is.

Absolutely right, I had forest for a 2-0 win today. I would have preferred it was 2-0 to us but the blow was softened by my small financial gain. Made no difference to the result.

He should do the decent thing and not the best thing for Brendan Rodger’s
