But Rodgers hasn't been backed, surviving relegation would be his biggest achievement etc. Add to this it's 'ok' to question Conte and Moyes' positions without naming an alternative but when we question Rodgers' we get "Who you gonna replace him with?" thrown in our faces. I mean it's a fair question but it's not a reason to justify Rodgers' position. But why is the same question not posed about Tottenham and West Ham? The other comment I heard alot today was "It's too late to get rid now". Ok, so should we have got rid earlier? Or was the reason back then that we were being "careful what we wish for"? Which is it? Do we go down without a whimper with Rodgers or do we die trying? Edited 11 March 2023 by Matt 8 3
ronnup Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 12 games left 5 wins needed Do we think we've got that kind of change I'm form in us? 1

Aleksz Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 A few have said it now, but honestly think that anyone with an ounce of man management ability let alone coaching ability keeps us up. It would have to be an interim at this point as we won’t get anyone decent to come in at this point and leave their respective projects. People will scoff at it, but literally the likes of Knudsen, Shakespeare or Lennon as an interim would manage to get us over the line.

Do we go down without a whimper with Rodgers or do we die trying? In the time that people have been asking this, Emery, Lopetegui, De Zerbi and Dyche have all been given PL jobs. These people would have turned their noses up at all of them. Only one of them took their job above us in the table, all 4 are above us now. Edited 11 March 2023 by ealingfox 9

But a new manager may have the brains not to play him.... I think if the little sh1t was sacked tomorrow there would be a collective sigh of relief from many at the club along with a large sections here on FT. and hopefully the normally associated 'manager bounce' would kick in. Just not having this influence with the team may be enough to work wonders BUT, the biggest change would need to be the TOTAL ABANDONMENT OF BRENDANBALL!!!! ( sorry for shouting one and all.) as it's the main reason IMO, that when the starting 11 hit the pitch we seem to come unstuck. On the rare occasions that we have come away from it we have looked a far far better team and certain players have improved performance levels..it has been and always will be my biggest gripe...we are not Man City and are at our best attacking and pressing teams and NOT passing it around 237 times before crossing the half way line. 1
surrifox Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 I bet the likes of Bournemouth and Leeds fans are praying we keep him

Blue ROI Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 I appreciate Claude a lot more for leaving us in a good place with some smart recruitment. My word though what a disaster Mini Me has presided over in 4 seasons. One of the biggest disasters in the history of the Premier league beyond question. Shows how overrated he really is. 2
dylanlegend Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 1 point off the relegation zone. Even if he manages to keep us up I don’t want him in charge of recruitment in the summer. He needs to go ASAP. Also I put £10 on him next to leave at 14/1
