Far too much bullshit nostalgia In this list. I'd have any of our current team including subs ahead of Weller, Worthington, Banks and co. Saying otherwise is looking back through rose tinted mirrors.

No Septimus Smith?

He is often considered the best all round player in Leicester City's history and is also the club's longest serving player of all-time having been a player at the club for 19 years and 246 days, as well as captaining the club for 13 years (making him by far the club's longest serving captain).

Never saw him play, mind you.

Know this is one persons list and potential clickbait but I guess they've defined legends as a combination of decent players for us with their cult hero status.

Vardy is probably number 1 in both areas for us so its really only 2nd-10th thats up for debate.

My list goes up to 11.

Joking aside, I'd never heard of Septimus Smith, read up this morning - always interesting to hear about former greats from that era, although it's difficult to judge how good they actually were given how much the game has changed and the constant increasing demands of physicality.

Been watching a few MOTDs from the 1960s recently. Obviously, these are 50 + years ago. Convinced that the greats from that era would be just ae effective today. I'm thinking of players like Charlton, Law, Greaves and Charlie Cooke of Chelsea. Can't we extrapolate backwards to 50 years before that era and assume that players of 100+ years ago were equally great?

Vardy is miles clear in terms of Leicesters greatest ever in my opinion. I find it hard to believe there will ever be a more important, influential and outright successful leicester player. If the man doesn't get a statue its an outrage.

I agree. Surely the statue has got to be Vardy with a finger to his lips, or cupping his ears.
