Get him gone and this is shaping up to be a 'Carlsberg' Transfer Window (if Youri extends).

Time to play hard ball with the Turks.

I fully expect that Rudders is already hence no deal yet, that we know of.

Bullshit.

We don't have an option to extend Ghezzal's contract so there will be no loan fee with an option to buy.

We would agree with Ghezzal to extend his contract by a year to make it viable, Napoli did the same with Milik recently

“The deal is a loan with an obligation to buy, so long as Marseille win a single point during Milik’s initial loan spell, in a deal that will cost OM around €12m. Milik has extended his contract with Napoli to make the operation viable, as his current deal with the Serie A side expires in June.”

That bloke is claiming its an option to buy though which we all know how that will turn out. Turkish clubs are an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Oh yeah if it is an option to buy it is a bit stupid, hopefully we just bin them off and tell Ghezzal they messed us about too much, get some proper money for him from one of those Saudi clubs

Good point, if it's "obligation to buy" the that solves the problem but "option to buy" is a complete no no.

His dad expects the deal to be completed soon, 100% will be at Besiktas

http://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-players-father-confirms-son-will-100-continue-career-elsewhere-transfer-completed-short-time/

Leicester player’s father confirms son will ‘100% continue his career’ elsewhere – Transfer to be completed ‘in short time’

It seems that Rachid Ghezzal will finally be leaving Leicester City this summer, and he will be staying at Besiktas.

Loaned to the Turkish side for the past season, the Algeria international was the star of the show, scoring eight goals and collecting 18 assists throughout the campaign, which spurred his current side to seek a permanent deal.

They haven’t found an agreement with Leicester just yet, but his father, Mohamed Ghezzal, spoke to Fanatik on Monday and sounded fairly confident something would get done.

He also, in the process, revealed another offer from a club in Turkey, although not one his son would be considering.

He said: “My son is very happy in Besiktas. They will compete in the Champions League this season. Ghezzal will 100% continue his career at Besiktas. We expect the transfer to be completed in a short time.

“After my son’s performance this season, Galatasaray also made an offer to us”.

However, the Leicester player’s father went on to explain they did not accept the offer from the rival, and made it clear ‘it is very difficult for him to go to another team after this time’ at Besiktas.

So there you have it: it appears the Foxes will be able to cash in on Ghezzal soon, with all parties walking away happy.

...how much are we talking about, as they seem to want him for free!!!

Along with Diabate, this was a signing that Puel wanted rather than one that our scouting system generated.

Slimani was another signing that the manager insisted upon, even though Claudio was advised he was too expensive. Mendy I think was a similar case.

General pattern is where our scouting team have suggested the signing, they tend to be far better than if a manager has insisted on them based on his experience.

Wouldn't be surprised if Perez was also a case where it didn't originate from our scouting team.

Was Mendy not the preferred option before we signed Kanté, and so signed him the following year?

Remember being disappointed when we didn’t get him… thank god we didn’t  :D

Slimani was someone we scouted and wanted, Walshy valued him much lower and that value would have decreased expectations all over the board and perhaps given him the space and weightless expectation that he’s benefitted from at clubs on loan.

There will be no loan, unless we are giving him away, he only has one year left.

I posted it above, but it is possible as Napoli did similar with Milik recently where he signed a 1 year extension to make a loan to buy viable

I think this was the same with a striker that Norwich signed (can't remember his name) we valued him at 500k, they bought he for something like 6 million.

The reports at the time suggested Ranieri was happy to go for Mendy but Walsh recommended Kante and convinced him to sign him instead.

That was Jordan Veretout. We had agreed an £8m fee with Nantes only for Villa to offer the same contract at the last minute. The player was given the choice of which club to sign for.

Oh dear
