What tactics can we use for the last 4 games as the current ones aren't working.

We need to change tactics quickly. Obviously. Maybe recreate 2015/16  style? Park 2 buses? Got nailed tonight by a lowly Newcastle team who exploited us with swift counter attacks. Both Man U and Chelsea are far more expert than them with this style.

Haven't got a clue, but something needs to change and quickly.

I posted in the tactics thread about our shocking lines. We play far to high against quick players.

werner is going to rip us to shreds.

We won’t learn. It’s infuriating

We need to play with more intensity and press as a team which we did in the closing stages today. If we play like we did for the majority of the game today, then your 4-4-2/3-5-2/4-3-3 make no difference at all.

I'd go with a 4-4-2.

Castagne - Evans - Cags - Thomas

Praet - Tielemans - Ndidi - Albrighton

Kel - Vardy

Stop the sideways, backwards, playing out from the back nonsense.

Hopefully we'll see less of the ball and this'll suit us, listen I want us to dominate games, have good possession stats but only if it means we're doing something positive with it.

We seem so easy to play against recently.

I'm fearful that this is far too much of an attacking formation. Going on our current form it's too adventurous for my liking. Cannot stand Mourinho, but I'm thinking in our situation, what would he do? At present, the most important thing is not to concede. Then at least we still have a chance and we all know by now that that Kel is bound to scare 😊

1st half

castagne Fofana Soyuncu thomas

                         n'didi

Perez.  tielemens  maddison albrighton

                        nacho

2nd half or if a goal down go to 3 at the back, Albrighton to RWB and bring on vardy for Perez or Perez as a 10, you could even use under for Perez or Praet fir madders

when Kasper had the ball they pressed, when they had a goal kick we sat back and let them have it, it was odd

Unlikely it seems like Praet is the latest player to p*ss in Rodgers cornflakes

When he’s not getting in ahead of mendy at 4-0 down theres got to be a problem

Agreed, bonkers decision by Brendan. He won't play Praet at all will he! I wonder what has happened there.....

Admittedly we need to sort ourselves tactically. Last night with the late Evans withdrawal undoubtedly was an issue. But the attitude seems all wrong too. Not one player really grasped that game last night when we went behind. No natural leaders outfield other than Evans sadly.

Don't think it will happen for one minute, but I'd play Under.  Since we lost Barnes we've lost the ability to run with the ball and make defenders make a decision.  Seems to me like we've been sussed.  To defend against us, set up two banks of 4 and watch us try to pass it around.  We need someone who can take a player on, get past them and start moving the opposition's defence around, thus creating space elsewhere.
