Well; its the most recent one I've read and it sounds like he got the rough end of the stick (like many others) and I've just re-charged my glass.

This one's for you, Pete.

Cheers mate. Poor bugger has missed all this.

Would Pete have seen the funny side of that in an odd sort of way?

I always told my boy he's so lucky to see us basically just 'not be sh1t'. I never thought we'd win a league or FA cup in my lifetime. He's 9 and seen us win both.

I don't mean to be insensitive; maybe it is. But perhaps Pete is up there chuckling about it all, y'know?

Pete would of been happy with a plucky  nil nil away to Preston. As long as we found a decent pub before hand.

Steady on; that would have been an outrageous result in those days...

My cousin who was killed by a drink driver a couple of years ago, then his dad (my uncle) died of cancer a week later. I attended my first ever game with them back in 1980.

You've done a stint there. You deserve this!

Both my grandparents were huge fans. One was a leicester Mercury reporter for many, many years, having grown up in Glasgow and moved to Enderby in his 20s, the other a ww2 veteran, moved from Poland to Lutterworth after the war. They both passed this year well into their 90s. I'm celebrating for them. I've got the vodka and the tennants flowing.

My brother died April 2020 age 82, not of covid-19 directly but of cancer that was not treated anymore because of the outbreak.  He was a lifelong LCFC season ticket supporter.

So thinking of him this evening.

My sister who married a Frenchman and lived in Paris. Passed away 25th August 2015 of pancreatic cancer, we were all with her when she died and remember my dad and I looking to the sky at the KP on the day the Premier League trophy was raised by Wes and Claudio in 2016 and saying that’s for you.

She was the youngest in the family of 3 sisters and two brothers and would have been so proud then and today.

I have had so many messages today from Parisian Foxes who are celebrating our win including my nephew who is always a Leicester fan cos of his mum.

😘

Thoughts with all those who weren't able to share with loved ones. Lucky enough to be there with my old man to witness that moment and realise how blessed I am.

Love to you all (and I hate human beings :D)

My neighbour was 87 years old, City fan for 50+ years. He died in December 2015. Unfortunately he didn't get to witness this great era.

Just like a regular I knew at my local. Died February 2015, even before the great escape. Life can be so unfair.

I live on the isle of wight but born and lived in Leicester until I was 17 I'm now in 50s but the Leicester football team will have a special place in my life as my father was born and lived on filbert Street, yesterday was the 45th anniversary of his death, it was odd but before the game I said Leicester win it for my dad :)

My Grandma died a month ago. She wasn't big into football but always loved being around us while we were watching City. She always used to say "it's a daft game but it makes you lot happy and that makes me happy." She would always be round us whenever City played wondering what on earth was going on lol. Should have loved seeing my whole family going bananas today.

I had been meaning to update some clip frames with wooden ones for some time and as I was out Saturday lunchtime gathering my big match buffet something inspired me to finally do it. During the match build up I sat transferring the photo's and realised the relevance of my Grandad's one, he was heavily involved with the Royal British Legion and yesterday was their 100th anniversary.

My Gran & Grandad had adopted Leicester as their team after as a child I'd invited Gary Lineker to join me for Christmas dinner at my junior school and thinking he wouldn't show they travelled up to be there as a surprise replacement if needed. The fact he showed up and spent so much time with me meant so much to them that he become "our Gary" to them and their respect for him and the club continued for the rest of their lives.

I looked at the frame and said "I want you to watch this with me Grandad", we couldn't do it for real but I wanted him there in spirit and in some small way it had a calming effect on me to partly see the game through his eyes of old fashioned values and I know we're bias but the hard working, honestly run club won through, he certainly would have approved.

My wonderful sister, and true fox passed far too soon in 2015, the same week that the season began.

She left before she could witness the greatest successes in our history but I felt her with me as I watched the trophies being lifted.

Went to the cemetery on Friday to place some flowers on my parents grave, whilst there I asked them to have a word with the boss up there.

Said to ask him to give us a win as we deserve to lift the trophy after all these years.

Like to think they did so.

I've been emotional all day and this is why mainly my dad and Vichai personally, we all have our individual people who aren't here.

But since the game, since we've won it's joy.

This is for them.
