Leicester United

I used to train with them as a kid. I remember going to see a first team game when Russell Slade was manager just before they folded.

Used to go and watch them quite a bit when they played in Blaby. My local team I suppose.

Sadly Man Utd are one of the best, if not the best. Still primed to win the U18 league and possibly the PL Cup.

Kobbie Mainoo in their midfield is the same age as Alves - looks quite a player

wonder if the likes of Popov will get bumped up to the U23s this season, Kian Pennant isn't featuring as much is he injured?

Pennant has only just returned from an injury that's kept him out for a few months.

I'd be annoyed if one of Pennant, Popov or this new lad Amani Richards aren't promoted to the U23's because we currently only have 1 player that remotely resembles a striker in the U23's who's Will Russ and his progression in the last couple of seasons hasn't been overly promising, he barely features.

what about Pennant's older brother what's he a winger?

I'm not totally sold on Popov from what I've seen, not really seen him do anything particularly impressive the 2 or 3 times i've seen. He just seems to be physically bigger than most people in his age group.

Thought Clover (or is it Cover?) looked good when he came on against Bournemouth, took his two goals really well.

A lot of the players seem to be better athletes than they are footballers.

Yeah he seemed to be pretty rapid but also looked like a good footballer as well, his second where he shifted the ball onto his left foot then drilled it into the bottom right corner was lovely.

Cover, Alves, Braybrooke, Pennant, Wormleighton and Butterfill all are technically very good players, Henry Cartwright is another who's very comfortable on the ball.

I need to see more of Popov before I make a proper judgement I know what you mean though.

Terell is a winger, he was unplayable at U18's 2 seasons ago but as if yet he's only been given a handful if U23 games.

...would like to see more of Wormleighton, he either had a very good night where everything went right or we have a special player on our hands!!!

He covered every attack on the right, you could never get past him, tackling, interceptions, pushing on with support, I just want to judge if it was just one of those nights. He came across a throwback player, knew his job and was not going to be bossed.

I really like him, he was a winger who's starter to be used at right back/right wing back and he's excellent defensively and going forward.

How old are they?

Butterfill turns 18 next month. Cartwright I'm not sure on, both may already have signed pro contracts last summer. Wormleighton hasn't signed a new one either.

Leicester City's Development Squad host Manchester City Under-23s at LCFC Training Ground on Monday – live on LCFC TV.
- Leicester City's Development Squad are in Premier League 2 Division 1 action on Monday
- The Foxes entertain table-toppers Manchester City Under-23s (7pm kick-off)
- Matt Elliott will star across LCFC TV's live coverage of the encounter

The young Foxes head into the encounter with Premier League 2 Division 1 leaders Man City unbeaten in their last four league fixtures, with last week's 1-1 draw with Arsenal coming after consecutive victories over Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United and Everton.

Ahead of the fixture against the Citizens, forward Will Alves spoke about the team's impressive recent results: “I think it’s just the mentality of the team going into games, believing that we can win and having high confidence at the moment in what we’re doing and how hard we’re working in the games.

“With the game being at home as well, we can definitely put up a fight and hopefully get a good result and a good performance."

From 6:45pm on Monday, live coverage begins on LCFC TV with presenter and commentator John Dunn to be joined in Seagrave by Matt Elliott, the former Leicester defender who notched a brace for the Foxes to win the final of the League Cup in 2000.

A 15-minute preview show will be followed by live and free in-play coverage from the Club's training ground in north Leicestershire, while match clips will be posted to @LCFC on Twitter throughout the evening. Post-match reaction and highlights will also be uploaded to LCFC.com after full-time.

All times GMT.
