I can't see that.

The likes of Maguire/Chilwell/Mahrez were all established prem players who knew their role and had spent seasons learning their trade in the PL.

I can't imagine BR bringing him in on those grounds because he's got a 22 year old hungry striker and even though he has experience, that experience has been in a week leugue. Take nothing away from him as he looks outrageous.

Point being BR would want to mould him, work with him and shape him because I'm sure that with a few seasons (3 minimum for me).

We need this player scoring goals in an area of the pitch that's the most difficult just as much as we do the profit. 3 year servitude for me on that 5 year contract.

Patson Daka and girlfriend Chilufya’s relationship on rocks!
Patson Daka’s relationship with girlfriend Chilufya is not going well as the two love birds have allegedly been having continuous arguments.
The two have not spent quality time together from the time Patson Daka came back in the country from Austria, Chilufya did not even show up for Patson Daka’s mother’s birthday recently.
Patson has since returned to Wurope and is set to sign with Leicester City.
We hope the two love birds have not called it quits!

I confess I've been off the ball in recent weeks, and I am nowhere near enough of a football hipster to pay any attention to the Austrian league... but a quick glance over this lad's stats has me very excited. Even aside from his bucket load of goals, seven assists tells me he's a team player too, something we want in any new signing.

So glad we've finally moved to address our light forward options. Probably shows how much attention I pay to the window that this has come completely leftfield for me, but that's just got me even more excited. If he hits the ground running we've got a great season ahead with him, Vards and Kelechi rotating.

Assuming this is a done deal - welcome to Leicester, Pat ❤️:scarf:

The thing is, though, if he turns out to be the player that it looks like he could be, he could be attracting interest from the elite few. If that happens, then we won't really have all that much of a say in the matter.

If he ends up going after a couple of seasons, then it will most likely mean he's performed incredibly well and we'll be quids in. That cash will hopefully go straight back into the squad and we'll be in an even better position than we're in now.

He has almost certainly been looked at by a number of leading clubs and maybe they don't think he is ready. We have to handle him carefully and not damage his confidence , remember it has taken Iheanacho three years to demonstrate his true ability.

This is going to drag on all summer isn't it.

No, just another 9 days or so, then it goes into the next financial year for football transfers.

As I was unfamiliar with that place - which I assumed was a nightclub - I googled it. I’ve now had to wipe every piece of search history on my phone before Mrs Trent gets home 😖

lol she’ll be wondering why the sudden rise in hits on the Facebook page. Be calling in the girls for some overtime lol

Not going to lie, got a bit more excited than I should have when I saw this graphic from MadAboutFoxes. If Daka comes anywhere near as good as Haaland (as all stats are indicating/hinting towards), we can throw our hats in the air! :yahoo:

I see your point. On most occasions though I think it's healthier for squad integration (not chopping and changing all the time) to not sell plain and simple.

Otherwise we'll all be talking in a few months on here about his successor already just like we have been vardy for 2 years!

Strikers have been our down fall for the past few years so with Dako I'd like just a little longevity on this one, to also sustain a squad bond and not have to factor in another striker for only 2 years down the line with our recruitment team not having to start winding things up with our scouts etc for another striker. With slimani and musa and Co we need to do this for the club not necessarily for a player sale.
