if he goes for £80m and we replace him with Berrardi, Kabak and Tarkowski I feel like we'd be in a better position overall.

Because if Madrid did actually come knocking, he’d want to go and he’s far from the finished article. So we’d sell and strengthen several areas.

Madrid and Barcelona seemingly haven't got a pot to piss in let alone afford to buy Fofana. Both are clinging on to the hope of a super league of about 4 just so they can pay the leccy bill. Florentino Perez is hiding behind the sofa as we speak 🤣🤣

No need for an apology - we're all big boys here, aren't we? And yes, the purchases of Ardiles and Villa (and the Dutch guys at Ipswich) were who I was referencing by the start of the influx of foreign players into the local game. Which is why we now have stars like Fofana and Tielemans in the Leicester team.

Ah...Arnold Muehren. What a player!

But that's the decision the club makes, they can put feelers out to see who is available and for what and you make your decision on that.

Whilst he was very good, he also made plenty of mistakes. If he was 28, people wouldn't be raving that much about him, he gets a pass because he's good for his age.

He's has some rough games, particularly Liverpool away but they've been very few and far between and apart from that he's generally been one of, if not the best player on the pitch. So no, he doesn't get a free pass for his age. All it does is make people even more excited and less frustrated but if we had a 28 year old perform like that, we'd still be thinking what a top drawer player he is. Gets in any other team in the league.

He's just had a very good season for us at 20 years old, he's only going to get better. He's the the type of player who could win us silverware and has multiple years on his contract, why would we sell for 80 mil now when we could keep him for a year or two, potentially win something, then sell for 80 mil a summer or two after. He's only going to gain value by us holding him and i genuinely dont see many, if any, better young defenders in european football, absolute braindead take to sell.

Edit: People who think we can replace him with another young 30 mil defender easily, there's a reason we splashed that much on him with only 20 ligue 1 appearances, fofana is a very very rare young talent and we're lucky to have a hold of him, players like him dont come around that often.

You can't sell fofana especially yet he has the potential to be the 1st 150m CB in 2 years time.

To me I think if we lose him we are ****ed

Madrid and Barcelona about to get some cash...

150m on Mbappe, 80m on Fofana, and they still 40m left for sh*ts and giggles (the w@nkers)

The clubs can use it for “investment programmes agreed with La Liga”. I doubt it can be spent on players. Will play for that cool retractable pitch for Real though I bet, and for Barca to upgrade the crumbling Camp Nou.

If my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle.

How anyone can be negative surrounding a 20

year old that’s played 48 games in his career baffles me. We get it you don’t think he’s the finished article but unsure why you feel the need to persistently remind people.

Obviously what's said now could be wholeheartedly different to what actually happens further down the line when the money gets to them.

Yes, spot on, reading more, it is actually quite progressive (in intent at least)

Because it’s part of the discussion and it’s been said about twice. lol

He is an outstanding prospect and technically a very good footballer but at the moment I think he needs an experienced man alongside him , will Caglar be the man? we are about to find out. If he keeps his feet on the ground and maintains a professional attitude, he can be doing this at the top level for well over a decade, hopefully with us.

The thing is though even if Real and Barca spend their share on infrastructure that just means that they are not spending their other money on it. So that money can presumably be freed up for transfers!

He would be best suited settling at a club for 2-3 seasons and really kicking on. He will then no doubt get a "big move" and a huge contract if he lives up to his early hype. At the moment he is still too young and too unproven, for "big" clubs to pay the big bucks that would tempt Leicester to sell. He is going to be worth a lot more in the coming seasons, so it makes no sense for Leicester to sell now.

Madrid have pervious, they bought Ramos at 19 from Sevilla for 27m after only playing 50 first team games.

Turn out a pretty good investments for them, so they wouldn't think twice about buying Fofana if they think he's good enough.

I also think that when he is good, he is so ridiculously good that people then look at his age and can't help but wonder just how good he could become. Some of his performances were like nothing I've seen from a defender,

So who has 2 (or 3 in the case of teams like Chelsea) better centre backs than him?
