It's so difficult. I remember taking my lad to his first game in 2007 and he asked me who my favourite player was and I said I didn't like any of them. Now it's like choosing between your favourite son. 

 

Vardy obviously has to be number one and Schmeichel a close second. 

 

However in the new crop its Ricardo, Wilf, Youri, Barnes, Cags, Fofana, Kelechi, JJ, Maddison and Evans.

I'm a bit disappointed that James Justin didn't get a vote, therefore I'm going to give him one. I think we missed him last season more than some would appreciate. I know we've got cover, but they're not Justin. He will be back in the team just as soon as he's fit. I don't care if we have to drop Ricardo or Castagne, both are massively more experienced, but they're not as good as the Luton Flyer. History will prove me right - well, I think it will. I failed to spot the Hundred Years War or the Black Death, but by and large my predictions have proved accurate.

I couldn't not go for Vardy. It's all been said a thousand times, but he's perhaps an icon more than he is a football player. When people read about him years from now, they'll think it's all a bit embellished and far-fetched. True Roy of the Rovers stuff.

 

After JV, I'm finding it very difficult to pick. I think Barnes would be 2nd. Local lad, seems down to Earth, and an incredible talent. Gets you on the edge of your seat.

 

Cags is probably 3rd. Seeing a scruffy centre-half embarrass world-famous flair attackers with Cruyff turns never gets old.

 

After that, there's so many to choose from that it really makes you realise what a squad we have. Just spoilt for choice. Any one of Youri, Ndidi, Ricardo, Schmeichel, Fofana, Maddison, Evans, Castagne, JJ or Nacho could be easily winning a poll like this if they were at another PL club. Players like Soumare, Daka, KDH, Bertrand, Thomas or Sowah could be contenders this time next year, as well.

 

It really does pay to take stock and appreciate how good we've got it. Too easy to take it for granted that we're not still plodding along in the Championship like our unfortunate neighbours.

Vardy is our greatest ever so it should be him but I love Barnes. I’m about a week older than he is, saw his debut in Porto and followed his loan career really closely.

 

There was no doubt in my mind he’d make it for us, was devastated when he got injured last season.

 

Wilf and Kel are a great double act too. Joyous blokes.

I only didn’t vote Vardy because he’ll go down as our best player. Ever. No contest. So voting out the rest Barnes is a local lad looking to be a potentially brilliant player at domestic and international level. 
 

Wilf going DMU and his general demeanour makes me think he’s a pretty humble down-to-earth bloke for a footballer, and how folk don’t love MILFhunter Seniorman dedicating a PL hattrick to all mothers worldwide I’ll never know. Absolute enigma of a man.

Vardy is my favourite player of all time. I don't think anyone can top his iconic status for us.

 

I have a lot of love for Iheanacho these days. Youri for obvious reasons. Can't say anymore about Kasper. The whole squad is special tbh!

I have Never put One Player before Another for favourite....

Its a period or timing call....

Vardy/Schmeichel /Albrighton...Just look at their History.

Justin,Thomas,Soyuncu...Who for many were doubts...

Fofana...in present squad, had a lot to prove...

Maddison, had those horrible long Term niggling,injuries.

Vardy,Ndidi,Soyu, Evans,Ricardo ,just couldnt solve Shake off their  nursed niggles to even 95% Match fitness.

 

Many forum fans, forget, time,patience, Club finances,in fact a whole Melting-Pot of mitigating  circumstances,

then the  preferable First judge on OTT unknowledgabe  noise, than First support & encourage..

 

each year we have seen questionable/doubtful, scape-goat players step up...Last year Nacho....Then again. Mendy/Amartey who Held their own ( Top 5) in a 

Chronic injury hit season...This season, Perez,Amartey,Praet could well Step up

even improving on their decent fringe-player FT-valuation

 

For These past 10yrs....it would be difficult to Not Chose from the First above 3 mentioned...

But then Ndidi Made that DM position his own, hopefully Now in Soumare,A.N.other he will give both Cover & competition..

 

Vardy Schmeichel, Albrighton are the Soul of the team, Squad, even club onfield/offfield...!!

Then there is Tielemans..ever-present, FA.cup-goal winner also adding POS...

 

Any individuals Current-favourite has rightly alot of competition....

Barnes, Maddison,  are the ones ready & waiting in the starting blocks,to rekindle their careers

Plus obviously any of the new-buys

 

Another point, so many fans were easy so ready, in the last 2 -3 seasons to Dump Vardy & Schmeichel, had doubts on Albrighton.

IMO These 3 still have football/LCFC unfinished  Business to attend to, und will again astound their doubters...

 

If Vardy Scores 18-24 goals, would a Barnes/Maddison/Perez/Amartey/Justin/Ndidi high Quality season have Lesser reference..

 

The title current-favourite Topic will thankfully draw in many fans who have totally different opinions,every Single one, an honest hard to argue opinion...

Vardy is a club legend and all, but I just can't get past the fact that his personality would absolutely drive me up the wall if I knew him in real life 

 

He's the office prankster who thinks throwing wet socks at colleagues and randomly jumping out to startle people is funny. And insisting on calling people by a stupid nickname in a silly voice (Kevinnnnn) - funny when it's directed towards someone else, probably gets annoying really quickly when directed at you.
