Absolutely. I made the mistake of taking children 6 and 11 to Everton away in the FA Cup a few years back, and the wife actually. Never again, and it sounds like you had it worse from what I recall.

Tell her to behave or she won't be seeing them next time.

Pretty ironic actually that posts in this thread suggest people shouldn’t be dictated to whether they sing or not; yet plenty, including the OP, are trying to dictate how much people should have to drink.

Nobody I've seen is trying to dictate how much others drink - just how they behave when drunk.

How dare you tell me how much fun I can have. Don't bother going to the games if you're stopping me from stopping others enjoying themselves. Just like the government, trying to control everything I do....

People should be vocal and sing at away games. We are outnumbered by home fans and need to make as much noise to support and gee up the team as possible. It clearly makes a difference to the team. I don't understand why you would go to an away game and not sing...

Some people prefer to just watch the game. If you pay your money for your ticket you can choose to sing or not to. I personally do like to get involved in getting behind  the lads but I wouldn't take exception to someone that chooses not to

This is a pretty niche post I think. Doesn't it need quotation marks for those that don't know it references a post that got a lot of stick from about 9 years ago on the subject of the Baby Squad? 😂

Surely we are there to watch Leicester win. Anything fans can do to increase that should be encouraged surely... sitting on your hands for 90 mins and just being there isn't helping the team...

Look, if you’re not going to stand and sing then put your £30 ticket money and your £20 coach one travel costs into your ISA savings account and watch it at home. People like you are the real embarrassment to our club.

I don’t agree with people acting like complete twats, but it is an away football match so some banter is to be expected. To be honest, I did find the ‘get your tits out for the lads’ chanting at the rotund West Ham fan amusing, and he was giving as much as he took

I was unlucky enough to sit near 3 lads clearly under the influence of drink/drugs who spent most of the match shouting abuse at our own players (mainly Perez and then Maddison) - calling them c***s, to leave the club etc.

It's hard to take when the majority of fans were trying their best to support the team in difficult circumstances, not to mention all the kids around...

You will never get every single fan singing whether it be home or away. Man City do pretty well and their support is awful (yes thd billions spent on signings helps). Its not the be all and end all. Different people have different ways of enjoying a game. We still have older people going to games, are you expecting them to get stand for 90 mins and chant for the full game. Of course atmosphere helps and if you get 2000-3000 people chanting thats great. It doesn't meant the other 1000-2000 fans who don't sing are any less of a fan

If you don’t want to sing there’s a stadium just down the road on Welford Road that would be well suited for you 👍

There's a very real difference between having a few drinks/sniffs and barely being able to stand. Saw a couple like this in the concourse, staggering about and I think one lost his £5.70 Heineken all over the floor as well. Why are you there if you're barely going to remember what you did 30 minutes ago, let alone the match?

There's also fvcking common decency. We all like LIMBS but we don't like being jostled, nudged, leant into by complete drunk and high arseholes. I didn't experience this but I'm not sure how anyone cannot see how frustrating that must be.

I was near the few guys who, in the second half, started to get ranty that no-one was joining in with them. Funny thing was, I don't really think I heard much from them up until that point. Yeah everyone was quiet blah blah, but just because you've decided to finally pipe up after 65 minutes of silence doesn't give you the right to just be a div. It's a good job Youri scored when he did because I wouldn't have been surprised to see that disagreement go south.

People from all walks of life and different personality types attend the football so if you're being serious (I think you might on the wind up) then this is utterly ridiculous.

Some people attend who are loud, let off steam etc and that's fine.

Some people sit quietly perhaps taking in the tactical side of things with a whisper to a friend ever now and then.

The one thing I think for sure no one wants is some drugged up dick in their personal space though...

That's not ironic, it's just common courtesy. Just like some telling someone not to be a dick in the cinema and start shouting and ruining the moving, by all means laugh when there's a funny moment but don't be a dick. This goes for most situations in life, if you go to a club for example by all means have a good time, just don't be so drunk that  you start fighting with other people, fall onto anything and everything and think every girl wants "a piece of you" so you start abusing those that don't take kindly to your advances. Moral of the story, don't be a dick (or should we give people the option to be one?)

Isn't it common courtesy to not call people dicks??

Not when they are being dicks, if they were innocent and not doing anything then yes it would be very "dickish" of me to call them that, but when there's obnoxious behaviour involved, it's an accurate description.
