Disappointed we couldn't win that, but decent result considering the number of chances Napoli had. We looked very good at times and then utter rubbish at other times. The later subs could have been better, the Maddison one didnt really make sense. When defending a lead, why not KDH or Choudhury or someone?

 

Barnes, Nacho, Daka and Soumare all looked good.

 

Also, ref was desperate to give out a red. What a jabroni.

We look better without Vardy.

We look better without Tielemans.

We look better without Maddison.

We looked better without Soyunchu.

 

BR substitutions again has cost us.

Soumare was on a yellow and the ref was dishing out bookings left and right.

It's hard to control a game with officiating like that. That was pathetic from the ref, it really was like playing a man down

All things considered you got to be happy with a point on the balance of play.

 

We should have lost. And lost heavily.

 

Some poor changes didn't help us either. 

 

Just wish we quickened up our passing and speed of play. Just so pedestrian and that causes half of our errors.

We just aren't very good.  Top half and getting out of the group stages would be par for this season IMO.

 

Too many players (maybe even the manager) thinking of their big move away.

 

I feel we aren't far away from needing a rebuild.

Don’t understand why Soumare was taken off. I understand less why Maddison was brought on. If it was down to me he’d be in the U23’s.

The vast majority of calls he made were right if you look at the replays on TV.

 

Easy to blame the ref.

One of the worst reffing performances I’ve ever seen. We get chopped down - nothing. A butterfly passes a Napoli player and they get a free kick. Joke. Feels like a loss to be honest, but we got a point. Next.

Some really lovely football from us early second half. But fell apart with sloppy play after Barnes goal. Fair result but so disappointing to lose that lead. We need to respect the ball more and keep it better. We lack pace in central defence. Going to cause us issues

I disagree. I think they were just much better than us technically. They passed better and broke the lines more frequently. We could have had no complaints in losing that game.

Ref was awful but the ndidi second yellow was about one of a few right decisions he made all night.

That was a fun game, what European nights should be. A full house against a big Italian team. What a shame that we couldn’t see out the win but I still bloody enjoyed it.

It really wasn't. We were outplayed for long periods of that game.

Not a bad result but the worst way to achieve it. They look an excellent team. The ref was appalling. We made three very good goals tonight with a toe offside denying one.
