I don’t see how we get anything from this on current form, I think my main concern is that Brendan will be cautious and revert back to the 1 up top as he will want bodies across midfield and defence to try and “contain”.

Hope I’m wrong as there is not a chance we’re going to restrict Man Utd with how poor we are at the back, only chance is to outscore them …. 5-3? 👀

Only plus is they'll be coming back from an international break too with almost the whole squad on duty.

Just got to hope we get our sh** together and catch them off guard. Otherwise it's hard to forsee us taking the points on current form

Schmeichel

Amartey - Vestergaard - Soyuncu

Ricardo                                             Castagne

Soumare       Tielemans

Lookman

Iheanacho - Vardy

Lookman has impressed me with his close control and ability to work well in tight areas. Yesterday he dealt with some difficult passes whilst under pressure and consistently kept possession. I think he could play that floating number 10 role quite well.

The back three is horrific but we don't really have much choice. It was a disaster against Legia, but hopefully having Castagne on that side will protect Soyuncu a bit more. Also with Lookman and Iheanacho we should be able to link play better in the final third, which was a huge issue against Legia.

Let’s hope United’s team coach runs out of fuel, we might stand a chance of nicking a win then!

They could sign 11 Leicester based Man Utd fans on to play us and they’d still nick a point.

My team choice for this fixture.

Schmeichel

Ricardo  Evans/Amartey   Soyuncu  Castagne

      Soumare/ Choudhury

Lookman        Tielemans          Barnes

Iheanacho - Vardy

Evans if fit, Amartey if not, keep Vesty from the starting 11.

Whoever looks the best fit out of Soumare or Choudhury in training to replace Ndidi

Hope Ricardo plays more like he did in the first few games rather than the last one he did.

Know this puts Castagne on the left but Bertrand and Thomas haven't looked that convincing. Barnes might not be at his best, but still the best we have on the left (apart from maybe Lookman), but I'd still want Barnes for his pace, when he plays well he offers us an outlet we'd otherwise be lacking.

I think you may have forgotten to turn off the centre-align function when you finished typing the team...;)

That’s a championship back three IMO

I don't rate it much but come on, there's three internationals there and none of those countries are exactly footballing backwaters. We stayed up with a combination of Morgan, Moore, Huth and Wasilewski for context.

I’ll be lumping on us to win this, then lose to Brentford the week after. I’ve been watching Leicester long enough to know it’s likely we’ll turn up for this game and not bother against mid table teams.

I'm only going to see Ronaldos abs.

Already excited about the game just because  of the above.

Cba for this. The ronaldo novelty has soon worn off, especially when he scores against us.

Hopefully Cags will have a "red mist" moment and stick one on him early doors

Although they will probably see us as a side they can rotate against and Ronaldo will be on the bench anyway lol

Might actually need the fans for this one.

Longshot but it would be nice.

As it is I imagine most will be just waiting for us to go one down so that they can get vocal in the wrong way.
