Evans with an outside chance of playing vs Man Utd, his illness that is the issue more than his foot at the moment

"The illness has probably more than the foot held him back a little bit.

"Myself, Brendan (Rodgers, Leicester manager) and Jonny, we've decided not to risk him, but he'll be back in training at Leicester and in with an outside chance to play against Manchester United at the weekend."

Can you not see the difference in long term planning between the Rodgers and Ranieri tenures? When you build a long term project like we’re attempting to do with Brendan you don’t just sack him after a slow start to the season.

I think @weller54point was,

it doesn't matter who you are or what any  intended plan was , if results / performances look at any point irreversible no one is immune from sacking.

                    Kasper

Ricardo Amartey Soyuncu Castagne

       Soumare Tielmans Chodury

         Lookman Vardy Nacho

Obviously would start with Evans but he won’t be fit. Rodgers will start with Vesty instead of Amartey.

Past couple of seasons we actually have a decent record with him, just 1 loss vs Norwich, he was ref for that Bournemouth game though (although that was our implosion rather than him)

21/22:

1-0 vs Wolves

20/21:

1-0 vs Arsenal

2-0 vs Spurs

2-0 vs Chelsea

2-1 vs Man Utd

3-1 vs Man Utd

19/20:

5-0 vs Newcastle

2-0 vs Watford

1-0 vs Norwich

1-1 vs Watford

Will savour these last few days of this glorious international break. Like I joked after the last one, I wish they'd never end and we didn't have to play ever again.

Daka for Vardy late on, Thomas for Ricardo if still off form, with Castagne switching to Right Back.

Most pundits are writing us off on our recent form for this game, but I’ve a feeling whatever side Brendan puts out will want to step up against Manure ?

OGS is walking a bit of a tightrope if all the press is to be believed and maybe is one game away from his P45, we have been the bogey team a few times to be the final straw where some top managers have been sacked following a defeat by us; So is this the time we step up and give the best performance of the season ( I bloody hope so !!) ?

Even though we got injuries and poor form I think we’ll win this 2-1 and it’ll turn our season around, it has to happen sooner or later so why not this weekend against Manure time to bring back Those fighting statements to the Team FEARLESS & FOXES NEVER QUIT !

we will be playing 12 men on Saturday bloody Craig Pawson is reffing....... we are royally screwed.

I thought the same  terrible ref but our recent record with him suggests otherwise. Last 5 fixtures with him in charge.

Arsenal away won 1-0

Spurs away won 2-0

Chelsea home won 2-0

Man Utd away won 2-1

Wolves home won 1-0

We've looked abysmal this season but things can quickly change in football. One good result against United and a good performance would change the whole mood around the place. The stadium would be rocking and all of a sudden it wouldn't be so gloomy. I'm going to be a stubborn optimist. 2-1 Leicester. Hopefully a few mistakes from Fred and Maguire, then Ronaldo to throw a tantrum.
