Next clean sheet. When will it be?

Last one was Millwall in the League Cup, or Wolves in league on first day of the season.

We all love a good poll. Those games take us up to December...

I dunno, it's gonna be tough.

The international break has come at a good time for us but on the other hand you've give some leeway and bear in mind while we've got a break we can't really work with our defenders to improve our problems, I believe we only have Ricardo and Bertrand the only fit defenders not away on international duty.

Not to mention the players who are away on international duty will probably be tired when they get back.

It really is quite the quandary.

The next time we won’t concede will be when Rodgers picks players on form rather than their “value” or “wages”. I wish we could drop Vestergaard and Soyuncu but sadly one must start with Amartey. It’s sad how Amartey is thrown by the wayside after some solid performances once we sign a £15 million defender…

As for Bertrand, I really don’t think he’s any better than Thomas. In fact, he isn’t.

Rodgers inability to pick the correct side will cost us. We can’t keep clean sheets whilst our two centre halves play like a pair of complete donkeys. Soyuncu clearly been told to be less aggressive (coaches out of him by a clown) and it’s resulted in him becoming half the player he was.

I love that Rodgers sees this break as a chance to work on the defence lol

I suppose if you substitute in a tall mannequin for Vestergaard and a Terrier for Soy then it won't be far off.

Yeah but think about the reaction if he said he wasn't going to work on defence or just ignored the issue?!

I'd have probably said, I'd like to work on it, but all my defenders are away. I'm a bit of a nutter like that though.

I assume he meant team shape anyway as much as anything. We need to defend as a unit better, whether it be pushing up and pressing at the same time or sitting in deep and plugging gaps.

Vestergaard and Soyuncu to pocket Ronaldo and Fernandes. Easy 3-0. Vardy hattrick. Does the SUIII celebration infront of the away end each time despite each goal going in at the kop end.

I know we haven't been the most stable at the back, but if we were more lethal up front and created something, we wouldn't be in as bad a position. I see the biggest problem in the final third.

And pressing from the front effectively is the first point of defense.

Brighton in the cup. (But hopefully Man U - we have, in recent history, had a decent habit of turning up for big games.)

I'll be happier once Justin's back, and we can stop relying on the current CBs or Bertrand to play out so much. But it will take a while for him to get back into form.

i went for brentford. they're flying which is why i expect it to be the game we turn it around. Brighton have always been a bogey team, no way we go to moscow and dont concede, same v ronaldo

maybe because i live near brighton im never allowed to forget every shit result. but since we went up we havent beaten them much ,lots of draws i think, without googling

I went for Brighton. Primarily because it’ll most likely be a terrible game in which both sides play makeshift sides. I think that United will give us a real battering and even if they don’t, I will be shocked if they don’t score. I can also see Spartak and Brentford taking the game to us and causing us issues.

Hate to sound so pessimistic but I think that every team in the league will cause us issues at this moment in time. We are ridiculously easy to create chances against.

This isn’t true. Since they got promoted in 2017, we’ve beaten them seven times, drawn twice and lost once.
