It's important to have extra games to keep the fringe players fit and motivated. It will be another good run out for some of our lads. Tonight would've done them good.

To be fair he was completely fine. A fairly easy game to ref with no controversial moments. He probably also had a snooze during the game

You get some real tools at these games when they are on general sale. Had some 17-18 year old thinking its cool to scream swear words at full blast every time he spoke.  I’m not averse to swearing but sat right behind my 10 year old daughter it was ridiculous.  The sort who constantly shouts “somebody hit the c@nt” when opposition have the ball. Absolute clown

another group of lads spent the entire first half obsessing over Dan Burn. Classics such as “lanky bell end”. 
big day out once a year for some of these idiots

There are different styles.

That's the point the Keeper should wait for the Kicker to decide where it's going. You're talking about small margins, for instance if the kicker opens up his body or instep it's usually going to the keepers left.

The first requirement is to hit the Target, Then it's down to the Keeper. 

Keepers are generally so big now that if they just stand and face the Ball they'll save quite a few.

By going early they give the advantage to the Kicker making his job easier.

He isn't sending on Riccardo, Maddison and Soumere if he didn't want to win.

Was pretty good, let the game flow , not there was much flow to it

How do you make that out. He went to his right for every kick. Our kickers all kicked to his left.

He gambled that one of our lads would go to his right which they didn't.

Had he stood still in the goal he would have had a better chance.

No news in the first part of that @Webbo, I couldn’t understand for the life of me why there was so much hype on here about KDH in the summer? No sign yet he could be a PL player.

But I’m interested in your ‘jury’s out’ position on VDC. Why? Can you see a player there?

Yeah I had a group like that behind me and the guy in front of me was on some dating app for most of the game

I could only listen to this, but I always get the feeling that we give away corners far too routinely, considering how dodgy we are at defending them.

He's only 20 isn't he? I'm not convinced he'll make it but I won't write him off yet.

I thought our academy guys did well and played their part to get us 2-1 up. I liked KDH’s energy, speed and considering the lack of game time looked good on the ball.

Hamza looked decent too and made some great tackles. We looked crap in the middle when they went off. Soumare looked well off the pace and Mendy seemed as tho he hasn’t played any football this season (I know he hasn’t) but his substitute appearance was one of the worst I’ve seen in a long time. Can’t be too harsh on him and BR should never have even considered him, what’s the point him getting minutes?

 

We’re through and that’s the main thing and I’m fairly happy with the way our young lads did.

Had a couple behind me in the first half, thankfully moved on to irritate someone else in the second.

 

Neither side played that badly but defensive errors on all four goals. 
 

Nowhere near the intensity of a regular league game on the pitch or in the stands. 

 

I would like us to go all the way and win it, but if we’re drawn away in a game a few day’s before Christmas I won’t be devastated.
