That has got to be the greatest result in the history of Comoros Football?
Not sure I’ve ever seen them at AFCON before?

They’ll need a couple of results to go there way to make the next round, but well played.

Not sure what’s gone on with Ghana, on paper that’s a pretty decent team. Should have been making the 1/4 as a minimum.

Sadly virtually no chance of Nigeria out before the semis. Just looked at their likely run. Malawi and then Burkina Faso or Gabon - this would keep them there for the whole thing.

Nigeria should be winning this tournament. I would expect Ndidi and Iheanacho to be there for the duration.

Apparently their first-ever AFCON...

Wonder if we don’t go for a CB in Jan now we know we’ve got Big Dan back. Söyüncü and Vestergaard fit for the time being, and Fofana back shortly too.

And JJ whose semi fit and played right of a 3

4 out of the 6 do and I think only one other group could see a team finish 3rd on 2 points, so they'd be out.

Every little helps. I want him back for Forest.

Knowing us though he'll come back and we'll injure him anyway.

Probably catch DVT on the flight home or something

Feel a bit uncomfortable being cheerful Ghana have crashed out. No way should they have not qualified with their squad!

Ah well, unlucky Big Dan. Will be good to have him back at least.

Big Dan back for Forest then? Brighton is surely too early especially after all the travelling.

He’ll be back on Friday….

Jet lag won't be an issue with Cameroon only an hour ahead of the UK. So guess a lot depends on when his flight back is. If tomorrow then very possible could be selected for Brighton

They might meet Senegal in the semis, but Senegal hasn't been playing great.

The best sides this tournament so far are in the second half of the draw: Morocco and Cameroon. Not to mention Cote d'Ivoire and Egypt are also most likely in that half.

back 4 v forest, Thomas Amartey Soyunchu JJ looks a bit better

We won't start JJ. In every interview so far Rodgers has stressed the need to introduce him slowly.

I think we can trust him to put Justin's welfare first. If we have to start Sharky or even VDC we will.
