By the way. How much of a nob was Ashley Young yesterday? Overreact much Ashley?

I wish we had someone with the same level of sh**housery. Lookman appeared scared of him.

Fickle football fans.. two 5th place finishes and an FA Cup and he's not afforded one poor season?

I don't think you understand, nearly every team in the Premier League now EXPECTS good results because they are all spending money. Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea EXPECT to win the league. Man United, Spurs, Arsenal EXPECT top 4. Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Villa, Everton, EXPECT top 6. Look how many teams are expecting high finishes, 11 of them. The truth is, the league is very strong right now and no one has a divine right to anything.

You're not Brendan in disguise are you?

do you not think that we pressed a lot more those two seasons? Zipped our passes around a lot more those two seasons? Vardy, as great as he is, IS slowing down and he’s a key part of how we played. If he’s aging, if we have players out injured and if it just isn’t working with what we have then it’s time to change things up isn’t it?

it’s not hard to understand surely…

That's fair, but I think pointing at Vardy is misplaced. I know I keep harping on about this but football is a team game and when a part of that team has serious problems it effects the rest of the team. Zipping balls about, knowing those behind will push if you push, all rely on confidence in the team. But if players can't rely on their defense they become hesitant, play slow, safe balls. They don't press as much in fear the team wont back them up and it'll leave space for the opposition to get a run at a broken defense. And it's fair to suggest that BR is also scared of that and changed his orders to reflect it. So yeah I agree you have a point that for now BR needs to re-set and focus on defending because the team as it is now doesn't seem compatible with how we might have played this time last season.

I also want to emphasize that while a LOT of people are laying all this at BR's door (and for sure he's got to carry his share of blame) it's not his fault Soy doesn't look behind him before that second goal goes in. It's not BR's fault that Soy didn't jump or show enough strength. These are basic skills that Soy failed to do. For all we know BR had them drilled for set peices all week (and I'm certain they put time into doing just that). Come matchday when BR has very little control once they're on the pitch we have to ask WTF is Soyuncu doing. Why are they all just ball watching for that first goal?

I wasn’t meaning to criticize Vardy as such, it’s just that I feel we were set up  to get the best out of him and with him changing, we probably need to adapt to that too. It’s not just that situation though of course, there’s a few things that need fixing.

and I totally get what you are saying that it’s not BR’s fault if Soy isn’t looking behind him but he gets to shoulder some of that blame too because he’s the one who picks the team. And whilst you can’t  count for individual errors, Soy IS  a bit error laden and so if you continue to pick someone who regularly makes mistakes then you have to shoulder the blame for the continued mistakes.

Confidence is definitely a problem right now  but BR is a MANAGER and it’s his responsibility to manage  the team and help instill confidence back into the team.

the buck always stops with the manager.

Be more concerned if I was him at how off the pace he’s starting to look now. Makes it even more embarrassing we lost to that level of player. Good Lord

To add, the away support was fantastic first 45. Best in a long time. Was upper tier and songs throughout love to see it.  Understandably the early second half goal killed much of it second half alongside our game dropping.

Home fans made no real noise other than a couple of songs after goals. Confirms that we all suffer with the same problem at home. Although I would add once the home support did whip up it was very loud and around the whole ground, not just one end.

Had to listen on Radio Leicester and the cheers from the away end was as loud as the home fans. Thought the VAR goal had been given the cheer was so loud.

Yep, not sure if zonal marking is the problem. More likely it’s just that we stink at it. Same with playing out from the back.

Simply put, he's not.

We have several key players getting to a point where we're going to have to think about selling them if they don't sign a new contract. We are also in a position where we could fall behind West Ham, Aston Villa, Wolves who would all be clubs targetting similar players to ourselves. Without European football we are not going to be as attractive as we have been before.

I know everyone expects the results, that's what close competition brings. You have to get ahead of the others, it won't wait for you to catch up.

We're not that bad doing this when the ball gets played out to the central midfield. It's when the floated balls to LB or RB don't come off fully is where we are put under pressure.

Referee on Talksport just said foul on KDH was a penalty and VAR wouldn't have over ruled it.

Was Mark Halsey.

This is the one thing that annoys me about VAR, this over ruling business! VAR should be there to make the right call, regardless of what the referee has said. They shouldn't be in the business of "saving face" for the ref on the pitch. Really P's me off that stuff does. If it's a peno, its a peno.

No no no

we don’t want the game re refereed - that’s a terrible road to go down

if you asked 100 people about the incident yesterday I reckon it would be 65/35 at most that it was a pen

So it’s not a clear and and obvious error not to give it

And if the ref does give it, the VAR mustn’t over rule it because it’s not a clear and obvious error to give it

only stone wall errors should have var intervention- the ones where 90/100 think the call of the on filed ref is wrong.

that’s what should be happening this season and it mostly is.  (With a few exceptions)

Well, we finished top six and won the cup . The last transfer window (bar Daka) has not set the world on fire. In fact only Daka and Fofana have really improved our squad markedly in the last eighteen months. Our transfer dealings recently have been of limited success.

Isn't this why we can't afford a poor season? Much better to keep the good players we've got on longer deals.

Probably get mullered for saying this but we are such a Jekyll and Hyde team that I’d have no surprise if we go to Naples and come away with something from the game.

Truth is it's a strong league and small percentages can impact if you finish 5th or 14th....sayin that I'm just certain our products has been consistently below par commensurate with signings made and I bet our owners are coming to the same conclusion so yes me Rodgers and the team have serious questions to answer

Went to the Tigers yesterday which I always thought would be the correct decision.

Between leaving my seat at the end of the game and arriving at the bar we had managed to score and concede.

Spent the rest of the first half watching it on a concourse TV muttering FFS Leicester at our inability to put away chances.

Listened to the second half on the way home on Radio Leicester muttering FFS Leicester at our inability to do absolutely anything.

I can’t bring myself to call for the manager who won us the FA Cup seven months ago to go butsomething has got to change.

We can’t go on like this.

...yeah, Tigers left a lot of points on the pitch yesterday!!!

Not taking our opportunities is always a recipe for disaster. Very much like LCFC we struggle in the last third with making the right pass and our lack of composure in or around the box.

We cannot continue to rely on Vardy to deliver every time.

Ball comes towards KDH, who gets there first and then as he goes to continue running his foot is stood on.

How's it any different to the one Ndidi conceded vs Watford? How is this example not a 'stone wall' penalty?

No way! you would get close to 100% if they were all neutral. Why not go down that route? A lot of other sports are like that? It's not being re-refereed, it's being refereed properly! Most decisions are black and white, look at the rules of the game and if the offense goes against the rules then that's that. The grey area calls can be left to the ref (which are very few and far between, Like the "stamp" in yestedays game, Godfrey was looking away when he did it but there is no way of knowing if it was still intentional or not)
