Everton v Burnley doesn’t need to be on tv ?

there are enough free weeks to play four or perhaps five midweek games after Jan

Absolutely it shouldn't be shown, it's supposed to a time for joy! 😁😷

I watched Burnley last night - it is hard to see what Dyche should do.  They are playing well but are not a group of epl players.  he can't swap the lot in January.  I was trying to work out the best option for them - but I fear they are doomed.

Seems to be some chatter that the proposed dates for some of the rearrangements will come out with the confirmed dates/TV selections for the final two weeks of February.

Would suggest we are going to play Spurs and/or Everton in January

He's much maligned on here but I think Dyche has done an incredible job at Burnley, I wouldn't write him off yet. It must get draining year after year.

Just as an aside, my son's friend is a season ticket holder there and his Dad, until recent times a part owner. He commented that if you watched them week in week out like they do, we wouldn't be that keen on Tarkowski and most of them believe him to be highly overrated compared to their other defenders.

I like Dyche - I want burnley to stay up.  But I am not sure whet they need.

Still won't have any centre backs for the Everton game.

We won't but we really need to sign a centre half as Evans is going to be in and out of the side for a while and he doesn't rate vestergaard.

Wolves and Chelsea were always going to be rearranged for the Sunday anyway after the Randers ECL games.

Chelsea game would have always come with that caveat.

Everton on 11th doesn't help at all with our squad.

The Everton game will affect our selection for the FA Cup game v Watford. Was hoping we might put out as strong a team as possible for that one as we are the holders. So much for that.

Do we know why?

We can't have had any say in the Everton date surely?

Ridiculous this has been rearranged for 11 Jan, I'm guessing it's the TV companies that have forced this.

There's enough space to re-arrange the matches for later in the season.

Probably would of been better off playing Everton on the original date rather than January 11th

Pushing Chelsea out will help us but I think we were ready for Everton at the time. We’ve now got to play them without our AFCON boys

No strikers either. When is Daka back?

Both clubs usually do.

Same with every rearrangement across the season.

Given we have lost 4 (+ Mendy but not registered anyway) since the Liverpool game and are set to only get back Barnes and maybe Bertrand, it won’t take much to end up having the Everton game called off again anyway.

We’ll end up rushing Soyuncu back and end up having to take him off after 30 mins.

Worst possible date for us.

We’ll have to go with Vestergaard and Nelson at cb for both this game and Watford and hope not to pick any other injuries up. Also got no strikers for either game 😬

Any ideas about refunds for the tickets as I won’t be able to make the Everton game now.

As far as I'm aware, tickets are non-refundable.

I've got to ask for at least half a day off in the first week of my new job and as far as school is concerned, the boy has got a dentist appointment lol

To be fair we got the Everton game off so not sure we can complain when it's replayed. Absolutely terrible time though.

Clashes with the Kasper documentary!

I don't really expect us to take the ECL seriously given the impending magnitude of our fixture congestion. I'd not be averse to playing pretty much a youth team against Randers, because we really can't afford to risk any first teamers while our squad is consistently stretched thin.

I know it's our best shot at the Europa League again next year now, but at this point I think the priority is going to be simply having a functional squad by the season's end, while hopefully pushing on for a place in the top 7. It's frankly amazing we're even still in the hunt, but I guess that just shows how inconsistent everyone outside the top 3 has been this year, apart from the current bottom 3 being consistently crap. lol

I doubt Norwich will be the last game we have to rearrange. That ECL fixture might end up in a similar way to Tottenham's if we don't start to see a more consistent run without injuries or Covid outbreaks over the course of winter.

My main fear is that we end up rushing back those who have been out for a long time and do them a mischief, primarily JJ who I can see being thrown back in before he's fully fit with the way our options look next month.
