100%. In my wildest dreams, the Cup was the one thing I thought I might see us win in my lifetime. To some extent, 2016 still feels like an amazing daydream but this felt like an ambition being achieved.

 

You weren't alone during Abide With Me, bet there were a few of us. Grandad sadly didn't make the league win, Grandma sadly didn't make the Cup win. It was played at both of their funerals and you can be damned sure it'll be played at their oldest grandson's too. I was a total wreck in that ground.

It's why, whatever happens and whatever we think of Brendan, he'll always get applause and thanks from me. Winning the Cup was huge, ending that painful record, and something I think all fans felt was the empty place in the cabinet.

Also, hugging my mate's dad while he was crying at Wembley after the Charity Shield win - 50 years to the day since he last saw us win it - was a great moment.

 

Reinforced for me that that any Leicester fan who belittles *any* silverware we go for or are actually lucky enough to win is an absolute disgrace.

We won the Community Shield.

 

 

 

Oh, and Leicester City women were Champions too.

 

 

On reflection, 2021 wasn't too shabby, was it?

 

Here's to an even better 2022.

Only ever wanted to win the FA cup after so many misses, tears of joy that day. Having finally won it it’s actually incredible people want the manager out before the years over

I still get emotional watching the FA cup or anything to do with it!! What a club!!!!

 

I also know that later when lcfc release a montage for new year il be few beers in sobbing away watching it on repeat!!

Great point. A huge low point with our penalties being p@ss poor. Only KDH scored. Just hope we get the chance to win back for the first time since 1981 next year.

I appreciate that some have mixed feelings about Mr Stringer (I think he's alright) but the shear emotion in his commentary was probably echoed by most of us....

Big events in my life recently seem to coincide with this team doing something remarkable 

 

2016 I got married not long after winning the league, which lead to some great material for the wedding speech 

 

And this year, after years of trying, we finally had a baby, we were just about at the 10 week point in May, the wife wasn't too pleased I wanted to call the baby Youri 

 

Sadly, I'm not planning any more kids and certainly no more weddings, so don't expect us to win anything for a while 

 

I'm so glad I was there that day, I've seen so much in my life time with this club and I've been in the stands for everything we've won since 1994, I've been very lucky to experience what I have done.

 

Seeing us win the FA cup was special. I think with the situation we were all in at the time too regarding lock downs etc made it a little more special for me. Just to be out of the house watching live football and socialising amongst fellow fans after being essentially robbed of anything social for over a year added a little extra to that day.
