I'm fed up of reading the "in my job I'm allowed to do things in my own time so why can't they" sorry to break it to you, but their job is not the same as yours. They represent the club as Premier League players and have a lot of sacrifices to make, hence why they get paid an awful lot.

So how do you know he was downing pints and didn't just have the one or two? Come on some of our fans are a bit OTT. They should abide by the laws of the land and their employers. Where does it stop? Should they not be allowed to go to a restaurant? A birthday party? Morrisons? How will we ever know who we have signed?

 No. They're puppets for our entertainment and should be locked in a dark room only released on a Saturday at 3 to play football.

Personally, I think tighter restrictions would be wise.  But they are not.   The players had leisure.  

 

Personally, I think it is good that the thread isn't crucifying the players.   Four young men on a night out in a week where millions of people have had a night out.

I'm staggered why this is even newsworthy and yet tells us everything about the obsession and irrational nonsense this pandemic has led to.

 

Why do footballers have to live under lockdown protocols but everyone else is free to do what they're allowed to do?

 

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Covid is so rife and yet it's largely harmless right now except for the disruption due to the rules around testing positive. If we are demanding footballers shouldn't put themselves in a position where they might catch it, then we have to demand that everyone does the same and then we're supporting a needless lockdown which is typical of the deranged reactions people are taking from the constant bombardment of covid, covid, covid in the press and social media.

 

Unless the club have specifically asked them not to attend social events, which would be pretty unfair then honestly what's the problem here?
