I'll never forget being behind some pleb in the canteen at Leicester College and they were piling all the stuff on for a full english and then right at the end, they got a ladle of porridge and slopped it on. There were gasps of horror and when the woman behind the counter tried to price it up she enquired why on earth they'd gone for a full plated breakfast and a bowl of porridge all in one and the prat said " I FORT IT WERE EGG "

OK, I've gone same toppings again...Prosciutto, peppers, olives and mushrooms. Boring, but I know what I like.

 

However, tonight is all about the base...

 

Passata, mixed with sriracha and habenero Tabasco sauce.

 

I'm looking forward to this.

I've got so many things I want to try! 

 

I might do the cheesestrings with a pesto base.

 

I'm also wanting a mexican topping...chicken marinated in a fajita mix, loads of jalapeños, spicy Mexican cheese, minced beef in a taco seasoning, salsa base. Topped with crumbled nachos!

 

Guacamole and sour cream to dip 😋

I had a crack at a Sicilian last weekend which is quite similar to Detroit style but slightly lighter with less cheese and blind baked first to keep it less dense.

 

Was pretty good but I know I can improve.

After seeing the footy scran Twitter, someone could make a shit load of money by overhauling food at football stadia.

 

It actually wouldn't be that hard to do. 

 

Clubs say its all about "matchday experience" but sill charge 6 quid for an anemic pie.

 

Decent pizza and burgers would be incredible in grounds. And still affordable.
