I saw someone suggest RAISE is better than IRATE as the letters are in more natural positions.

 

Also T is more common than S in the dictionary where words are in their root form, but S is more words overall because of plurals. Not sure if wordle does plurals or not. Apparently R is the most common consonant either way though.

 

D and N can also be a good shout assuming Wordle allows past tense of verbs.

 

Basically any word you can get A I and E in and then 2 from R T S N and D in is going to be a great shout for an opening word I reckon.

 

If I don't get much from IRATE, I'll probably go for SOUND as my 2nd word.

Failed today, didn't read the rules properly so didn't realise the letters went yellow if in the word and wrong place until after my 3rd guess. I got close and think another go would have got it but look forward to tomorrows

I got it in 6 as well after spending about 20 minutes on my 5th guess to try and find a word that fits. Today's will beat a few people I think, it was even tougher than yesterday's.

I got it on the fourth one after spending 20 minutes trying to work out what word fits with the second and fifth letter that I had green. Difficult one today
