Mercury seem to think we are interested in Ben Godfrey. Not getting a look in at Atalanta.

He's very versatile, can play either full back role, right or left sided centre back or as a CDM. If he was available for loan until the end of the season, he's a good pickup I think. Could cover for JJ or VK.

Do we more cover or someone who strengthen the 11, not sure he's better than what we have.

Think Private Godfrey out of Dad's Army would be good cover for JJ!

please tell me this is because we have bought the lad!

Funny, cos I saw that about the recall earlier and thought "Shit, there goes any chance of that!". It's said that Emery wants to run the rule over him. Prem loan?

Villa are very close to the line with FFP and likely want to bring in reinforcements for the champions league.  With watkins and Duran purring he obviously has no path. So either they are planning to sell Watkins for big dosh, want to loan him to the championship to sell in the summer or… they are going to bank 15m now.

I wouldn’t rule it out if our interest was genuine

Trippier - Loan

Chilwell - Loan

Boly - 3mill

Ward Prowse - 10mill

Barnes - 30mill

1) Legs gone, firmly out of the running of that Newcastle side now
2) If he makes it to Seagrave without doing his hammy, sure
3) see 1)
4) Not really the player we need now we've got Soumare, Winks, Khannous, Goodnight all in the running. Ndidi wont be long either.
5) Need a RW, as much as I like Barnes

RVN could also raid his former club Manchester United with another swoop.

SunSport understands 20-year-old midfielder Toby Collyer could be the subject of a loan bid from Leicester when the transfer window reopens.

The Sun still pushing this at the end of the article about the South American CB.

RVN obviously knows what he’s about but not sure we use a premier loan spot to get him when we have 4 or 5 in the same area as bad as they have been, we need goal providers from the loans & be buying defensive players to future proof us.

His market value is 3m if he thinks going forward he’s a player that will replace the likes of Skipp, Ndidi, Hamza & Soumare to work along side Winks then push them with a 5m bid as much as they say he’s highly rated by them I can’t see them doing anything but buying their way out of trouble now.

Fikayo Tomori’s future at AC Milan is under the spotlight, with increased interest from the Premier League in the defender.

Ontheminute.com understands that Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United are interested in the defender .The England international’s agent is exploring potential transfer opportunities, sparking speculation about his next move.Fikayo Tomori, a vital figure for Milan, could be lured back to the Premier League if the right offer comes through. Newcastle is keen to bolster its defensive options, but competition is heating up with Leicester and Nottingham also eyeing the 25-year-old.

With Tomori’s contract running until 2027, prying him away won’t be easy. However, Milan’s openness to discussions gives suitors a glimmer of hope and the Italian side are prepared to sell the defender for around £27 million.

Not sure we will be paying upwards of 30m when the young ARG is 8m + to many suitors mentioned for Fikayo Tomori as well as those mentioned there’s Villa, WHam & more than likely his destination Juventus

Lazio Could Fall Short Against Leicester City in the Race for Chelsea Youngster

Leicester City might be best positioned to land Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei despite interest from several Serie A clubs, including Lazio.

The Biancocelesti are in the market for a new midfielder in January, preferably a young one who would be eligible for the U-22 list as the senior list is already filled. The club’s sporting director Angelo Fabiani has been following several profiles, including Hellas Verona’s Reda Belahyane and Empoli’s Jacobo Fazzini, while some believe Casadei would be the ideal addition to Marco Baroni’s squad.

The 21-year-old is considered among the most talented Italian youngsters, but he’s been starving for playing time at Stamford Bridge this season. The midfielder has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League, with his six outings occurring between the Conference League and the Carabao Cup.

However, ANSA believes Lazio, Bologna and Monza will struggle to land the Inter Milan youth product, as Chelsea are only willing to sell him for around £30 million, a figure that will likely ward off the Serie A trio. On the other hand, Leicester could have the means to invest in the Italy U21 starlet.

Casadei spent the first half of the previous campaign on loan with the Foxes where managed to showcase his prowess before being recalled by the Blues in January. So due to his previous success at King Power Stadium, Leicester could be tempted to sign him on a permanent basis, thus splashing their Italian competitors out of the water.

No offence but that's a terrible list

So none of those players would improve our team? granted those players would

need to stay fit but our current team is shocking compared with recent years

Tripper > Justin

Chilwell > Kris

Boly > Faes / Vesty

JWP > Soumare

Barnes > Mavi + BDCR

It's not about the quality of player, it's now the likeliness of it happening. I could put out a list of:

Foden - Loan

Alphonso Davies - 10m

Fofana - 40m

Maddison - 10m

Dias - 100m

They'd all improve us but it's still a terrible list.
