Someone needs to be held accountable with all of this.

Didn't Leeds call off the two games over Christmas?

Think they played a lot of games using the kids in the lead up to Xmas despite lots of injuries. However, think it may have been before PL enforced the new rules.

Brilliant. Non refundable £50 train ticket down the drain and lumbered with a Burnley ticket that I can't use if it's rearranged as a midweek game.

Call train company up and say you’ve got symptoms and are unable to travel. Or claim back on your credit card. Nothing is non refundable whatever the crooks in charge say

lcfc will refund the match ticket so that’s not a problem. No reason why you should be any cash down because of this

The words lame,  weak, tactical covid-card come to mind

Reminds me of how for years teams said they can't cope with fixtures at xmas but then when the industry pooped itself when covid threatened whole industry suddenly they are playing 3 times a week

And we have done exactly this - twice.

Yes but we had 16 first team squad players unavailable against Everton. 16!! That is a whole different level to Burnley missing about 8 or 9. We all know they've called it off to give themselves time to bring in a new striker after they sold Wood.

This season is becoming a shambles, how are we gonna fit in all these rearrangements if we advance in Europe?

Getting a bit of a joke now.

The league have got to change this rule for next season so that you have to use development squad players if you have so that many players missing. If you don’t do that then you forfeit the game.

They have made it too easy for teams to take the piss and get games called off when it suits.

No, no, with immediate effect.

Someone claimed they changed the rules mid-season this season, in December. now every man and his dog as pulling a fast one.  (How true it is I cannot verify but the fact we've never seen situations like this before and then there is the infamous Middlesbrough points deductions because they couldn't get a team out in 96/97)

If true, there's no reason, no excuse why they can't change the rules back.

Integrity's dead anyway.

This is getting past a joke now, think it's time the league did more to make sure no one is abusing this rule. So a cold Tuesday night to Burnley to come for fans.

EDIT: Looking for a game tomorrow try non league, Barwell got Peterborough Sports and Nuneaton Boro got Rushall Olympic.

And 2nd placed Coalville take on Tamworth at home.

If they have a squad of 21 outfield players, they only need 9 out to be able to ask for a postponement.

The integrity of the league part makes me laugh. You’ve got a team owned by the Saudi govt. you’ve got Chelsea bankrolled by a money laundering Russian oligarch making £120m a year losses spending £100m on a player they threw out a few years ago. Competing ‘on the same level’ as Burnley. Integrity lol

Having a go at Burnley is soccerarsery.   They don't have enough players.  They were shafted by Saudi money triggering a discombobulating transfer.

We know what it's like to run out of players.  Things should be kept in perspective.

Unconfirmed and I doubt it ever will, we’ll never know the truth one way or the other but just for a bit of balance to the ‘but they had to sell Chris Wood because a release clause had been triggered’ argument.

As I’ve said many times in the past month or two. Integrity and Transparency are lacking, too many clubs (including ourselves) abusing the rules, bending the rules to their advantage.

Trainline on a deit card unfortunately. Won't even let me cash in or swap for a trip to Wolverhampton in February either.

Burnley, like us, risk a fixture pile up.

Burnley, unlike us, aren't in Europe because we are massive.  Cup competitions require less fixtures for Burnley because of their adequacies on the massive front.

Burnley would be delighted to call off the game because they fear how massive we are.

Burnley's executive will try to arrange a massive meeting (the best they will manage is a little bit big) to work out how to avoid us later in the season.

They are running scared.  Because we are massively massive.

Confirmed by Wood himself. wouldn't believe a word those muppets from talksport come out with.

If it was possible to bring the rule change in ASAP then I’d be fully in support of it.
