The Premier League made a rod for their own back when they called that Man United game off.

Clubs (including us) have taken the piss ever since. They talk about “preserving the integrity of the PL”, when clubs are doing the absolute opposite and calling off games at late notice, when it fits.

Cases should be treated like injuries. If you’ve got no defenders, call someone up from the development squad. That’s what they’re there for.

It’s the fans that lose out, as always.

Yep, precedent was ages ago so now its a free for all with no sign of stopping.

Where are you based grobyfox?

Borehamwood. Judging by your name not far from you! I’ve often ended up on the night jubilee line to Stanmore and then a cab home after getting too excited and missing the thameslink trains home. I like it around Stanmore, some stunning houses and generally better class of people than the surrounding inwards areas

The FA Cup winners get £1.8 million.. its an absolute pittance. Premier league money per each higher position is far higher

A good European run gets about £20 to £30 million. Given a cup win gets you about £6m of that via qualification to the Europa.

So will we.

This is a perfectly valid view but personally can’t see it. Have a feeling we will always be beset by injuries plus fa cup and Europe which Burnley don’t have

I think some of our fans are in for a bit of a shock if they're crazy enough to think Rodgers now sees Choudhury as a viable CB option over Vestergaard.

People need to learn to look at things with balance. Yeah, Hamza did well for a five foot central midfielder with no positional discipline. But we were also playing a woeful Watford that barely got out their own half and who scored with their best attack with Hamza miles out of position.

He deserved to be motm for his efforts given he was playing wildly out of position. It quite obviously isn't now his new position.

His hair is at least a foot so that makes him 6 foot tall…

So the question is did the sale of Chris Wood take the player numbers required from the minimum of 13 down to 12 which gets the game  cancelled. If so Burnley should be punished for match fixing.

Match fixing? we need to play the match to get it fixed

Haha. What? How can you fix a match which hasn't even taken place?

15th - Watford (A)

22nd - Southampton (H)

25th - ECL Final

This is our schedule as it stands for the rest of the season.

We have to fit in the following games, Everton (A), Norwich (H), Burnley (A) and Chelsea (A) We'll potentially have to postpone Brentford (H), Newcastle (A) and Watford (A) if we go far in the Cup.

Looking at those fixtures, inbetween International breaks, we're playing every 3/4 days from Feb onwards. Where are all these extra fixtures going to fit in? And that's if we dont get more games called off in February. It's a dire situation with lots of problems going forwards.

Burnley will have a much bigger squad when they next play plus a replacement for Wood. They have manipulated the situation for their own benefit. Match fixing

? It's not like they wanted to sell Chris Wood, they had no choice with his release clause being met.

This is getting past a joke now, think it's time the league did more to make sure no one is abusing this rule. So a cold Tuesday night to Burnley to come for fans.

EDIT: Looking for a game tomorrow try non league, Barwell got Peterborough Sports and Nuneaton Boro got Rushall Olympic.

Very frustrating. Was looking forward to going tomorrow despite lack of voice at the moment!! Can’t get to the games next week with work, be lucky to get anywhere near a forest ticket. Next game for me is looking like Anfield 10th Feb!

This is madness! Meanwhile @arsenal have no midfield and double digit amount of players out…where is the consistency?

They have 2 injured players Smith-Rowe & Tomiyasu & 5 at AFCON 1 of which is the rebel & out the other 4 only Partey is a stater but even so thats 7 out of 25 not into double digits as suggested, didn't we have 17 out of 25 missing?

Getting a bit of a joke now.

The league have got to change this rule for next season so that you have to use development squad players if you have so that many players missing. If you don’t do that then you forfeit the game.

They have made it too easy for teams to take the piss and get games called off when it suits.

And we will have some of our players back, including Vardy. It's not as if Burnley are benefitting from this. Plus we're the last ones to moan.

How log is Vardy out for?
