Getting a bit of a joke now.

The league have got to change this rule for next season so that you have to use development squad players if you have so that many players missing. If you don’t do that then you forfeit the game.

They have made it too easy for teams to take the piss and get games called off when it suits.

And we have done exactly this - twice.

Yeah agree, I include us in it.

You can’t blame the clubs though they aren’t actually breaking any rules. As I say the rule needs removing and you have to fulfill the fixture.

Brilliant. Non refundable £50 train ticket down the drain and lumbered with a Burnley ticket that I can't use if it's rearranged as a midweek game.

If i was you get your money's worth head up to Burnley have a few beers in the town and then ahead down to Accrington Stanley and watch them face Sunderland at the crown ground.

A good European run gets about £20 to £30 million. Given a cup win gets you about £6m of that via qualification to the Europa.

Players & most fans Dont look at the Monetary differences in the various competitions, but the aspiration & Dreams of Lifting a trophy...

Never forget 90-95% of Profi Footballers win sod-all, & probably not even Silverware for Involvement in a 1St place for promotion.

Ditto for some decent managers...( Even when having career- runs in a Top 8 side club)

Thats why our some of own fans OTT entitled expectations are showing total disrespect to other clubs & managers-careers & our own 140yr fight  to earn a consistent era of Top 8 football.

We had the MON era, and from the beginning of the Pearson era until now ( 5 managers),

a 8 year Run period has given us only an actual 4-5yr period of a start & chance to develope

a competitive challenging consistent possible Historical era.

We have arguably  our best squad since the beginning of this high caliber PL,

but  we still see that chasm from our improved status & ressources as Club & squad,

still leaves us dragging behind those Top traditional 6-7 clubs..We Simply lack that Financial clout ,Cache-Area & name..

Playing side, those £ Millions  difference Make-up, are totally irrelevant...

We see only exhuberance, also from those Top 6 Superstars when they collect the smaller earning of trophies....

because only Loser-fans find no interest in picking up those smaller trophies...

We see most season its those ( hated, envy inspiring) clubs that hold their consistency

by winning or going into semi-finals most of the time...

We are still the New Boys to this consistent Top 8 game...

Spurs, Arsenal resurgence proves how difficult it is to break that hold they have on those high positions.

In defense of Rogers and our club we towed the line long enough until it was clear to see the premier league rules were naff. If the PL say play every player you have (senior + academy) than fair enough. If it’s compete with the required number of fit (covid or injured) senior players than that’s different. The ambiguity set in early when some clubs couldn’t form a full team due to covid and some due to injuries. Hasn’t every club forced atleast one cancellation now. It is what is folks. good thing the league hasn’t locked down yet.

Fingers crossed for the spuds game next week

I'm considering that as I'm already up in Lancashire with the missus' family for the weekend. Looked on Accrington's website though and you can't buy online? Dunno if they might not sell to new people given who the opposition are?

Do the club refund postponed games. No chance making a midweek game up there.

Yes. I got a refund for Everton.

However they don't make it known so I'd email them first or just send the tickets back to the ticket office.

Does anyone know why Saturday 29th January is a free weekend, and Wednesday 02nd too?

no international fixtures. Wondering if rearranged games will be moved to these dates?

Question 1 - It is an international break for South America, AFCON (shoehorned in) and CONCACAF?

Question 2 - There is an exemption for PL games to be played during that period so I expect some rearranged games to drop in.

Not going to go all Everton fans/ Talksport about it, Burnley want to play the game with the best team available they could. Like all clubs are doing.

The Premier League need to take stock next season and maybe make unpopular calls.

Assuming there isn't late rush at the ticket office, they are planning to sell cash tickets on the day.  You won't be excluded if you're wearing Leicester colours.

Thanks for that. In-laws are PNE so may end up there too, no shortage of tickets for that one though given how they've been doing this season though...

Borehamwood. Judging by your name not far from you! I’ve often ended up on the night jubilee line to Stanmore and then a cab home after getting too excited and missing the thameslink trains home. I like it around Stanmore, some stunning houses and generally better class of people than the surrounding inwards areas

Another one in Stanmore here!

Interesting reading all the reactions online. Unsure why Leeds fans seem so high-and-mighty about Bielsa refusing to ask for postponements and playing games anyway. He's surely disadvantaging the team - imagine if it put them back in the Champ. Can understand some not liking the rules, but in the current climate I don't know why anyone would begrudge somebody asking for a postponement - it is in their interests to and the incentives for playing aren't really there.

Didn't Leeds call off the two games over Christmas?

Can’t believe that some people are moaning that Burnley have put this off. We have to accept they didn’t have the numbers just as we didn’t. The problem is that because some of the covid cases are being kept private, we never really know the numbers so have to accept that the league are doing thorough checks before agreeing.
