After Wednesday, my hot take - Vestergaard is unlucky not to get the nod ahead of Soyuncu, who was more at fault for our defensive f**k ups.

Still, attack-wise that's pretty exciting. 4-3 win, Big Dan with the unexpected decider, let's goooo

Even with all our injuries that’s a good looking side.

This team is so shit and massively overhyped. Probably lose to it again. Sideshow Bob at left back can **** off too

As good as Luke can be at the back, I do worry about him in possession sometimes. Sometimes he really does look like a rabbit in headlights on the ball, especially against Spurs when trying to go forward. That said, he did make a fantastic clearance and is still a young lad, just hope it’s part of his game that develops, because it needs to for him to become a regular in the prem.

It's just missing having an orthodox DM from looking like a proper side on paper again, it's been a while. I don't doubt KDH's ability to dispossess and ruffle up opponents, he's done that well but to be the deepest midfielder and restrict your commitment to breaks will take great discipline. I have faith in every one of those 11, just hope they've had a meeting about game management and hope if Cags starts losing his head Kasper can step up and steady him down, it needs someone or a few to increase their leadership out there by a good few percent, you're in it together, if one guys head goes you have a bomb scare liability out there. Thankfully the guy who gift wraps goals and encourages opponents to receive them is on the bench this time, we might, just might get through this.

433 with no defensive mid for us makes me uncomfortable

KDH's work rate negates that, also having more players on the pitch that can actually play football will probably help us.

Interesting that Justin starts, I hopee he's 100% ready and this isn't Rodgers once again prioritising himself over the players.

I don't get some people! Complain about BR starting JJ when some of them would probably complain if he wasn't in the team.  Let's get behind this very positive team selection! We need a bounce back game and this could be it! Get vocal and back the team, let's do this!

Hopefully we don’t get overrun in midfield due to playing with no DM. We have 3 players on the bench who could play that position,  starting without one could cost us.

Probably the best line up we can muster at the moment and the bench looks decidedly stronger than of late. Let’s keep compact and when in possession attack with purpose. Dunk and Webster played well last time out but Maddison lookman barnes and Daka are capable of getting through them. COYB

Soyuncu is (or at least, can be) a completely different player with a more solid CB next to him.

Vestergaard is still the same old player regardless of who he's with.

He could well have another mare, but with Soyuncu at least there's a chance of a good performance, especially when he's not having to adapt his playstyle to accommodate a player with less than zero pace (which Amartey has plenty of).

Is a photo of him struggling to control a ball the best option on a bad bunch?

Shows how low are expectations have become.

JJ looked obviously rusty on Wednesday and being asked to play out of position

Depending on which Big Dan turns up he can be a bomb scare

Soyuncu -see above

Thomas is error prone and developing and Barnes offers him zero cover

Guy who was supposed to be leading Brighton today is also isolating

He'll relish the opportunity. His clubs problems are small fry compared to ours , he can stand there smug in his big mac, claiming he knows his onions but if they go a goal behind they'll never ketch up with us, there will be a grilling at half time when he can saute out his side so lettuce just see what happens.
