Would you come here now? A championship player is the best we can hope for. ...there will be a plethora of willing players from the continent looking to come here, and to play in the Premier League!!! If Fofana was on 80k Euros a month, then coming here on a 5 year contract (irrespective of who the manager would be) would be akin to winning the jackpot. We received a record fee based upon the potential of a kid who has not proven he's worth it, who didn't want to play for the club, and who was the exact person who threw a fit and badly weakened and unsettled the whole team. Selling him allows the team to recover and play to its ability. Keeping him after his dramatics would have ruined the season. At least now we have a chance at seeing some decent football out of Leicester. And if you think the club has earned itself a rep for being soft on transfers, that's just dumb. If anything, its obviously the opposite. Which may scare players we recruit. We almost exploded our season with this Fofana play. The one thing that could not, under any circumstances happen, was this little sh1t to stay. Glad to see him gone after all this.
Lambert09 Posted 28 August 2022 Posted 28 August 2022 one quite significant detail that i haven’t seen discussed is that Susan was the person responsible for negotiating this. Or so it was reported. Seems a little strange no? why wouldn’t the DOF be involved. Or even have the relationships, it’s not like this is a new club for us. A possible sign the club have lost faith? It’s not like he’s been busy 😂
Jaspa Posted 28 August 2022 Posted 28 August 2022 Page 300! We're basically just waiting for the announcement now, aren't we. Sad. Tempted to keep the money off Rodgers after last summer.

mozartfox Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 We have made 300 pages, close and archive this thread would be really great. We have to move on and start to turn things around………..and quick. 1
Nick Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 Has he gone yet? We err kinda need to start spending the cash... 1

dnewty Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 When this goes through we should be spending at least 40 million on players this week but I bet we don’t. I’m not entirely sure we’ll spend any.
jonny_wright Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 Where does this leave us? Deadline day replacements? 1

By the same logic it should be too late to send him to the other side of the world for a medical! They have properly screwed up our season by their tapping up, low ball bids and unsettling tactics. They are taking the absolute pi$$ with this and their antics all over the summer. 2

If it is, pull the plug. I did say his medical could be interesting. That was a terrible injury and he has previous too. I am assuming this could be for Insurance purposes, which I see as perfectly normal given the size of the fee and the sum of 6 years salary. 1

I don't disagree but we need the money for replacements and maybe also getting rid of Rodgers in the process as well.
Chelmofox Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 USA for a medical?!?!?!? Scumbags. Its about time we started seeing some proper fines for these sort of antics.
