I think the Tielimans money we get doesn't necessarily need to be used on replacing him but rather invested in a right winger and a CB. These sort of quality  players could offset his loss somewhat and whilst KDH and Praet (who I still think has something to offer) don't have the same quality, they can still do a very good job. So possible 2 teams for next season.

Team 1         2

GK Kasper/Ward

RB Ricardo/Castangne

CB Tarkowski/Evans

CB Fofana/Soyuncu

LB Justin/Thomas

CM Ndidi/Soumare

CM KDH/Praet

RW Ali Cho/Albrighton

CAM Maddison/Perez

LW Barnes/Lookman

ST Vardy/Daka

Nacho, Amartey and Choudhury to make up the 25.

Discuss.

Not sure you'll see Evans play much.

Or Praet while Rodgers is here.

Albrighton at RW? Think we need more pace than that as a backup for Ali Cho (if he even comes here?!).

Without Tielemans we need better quality in the midfield, as good as KDH, Ndidi and Maddison can be.

Hopefully Perez and Soyuncu wont be here for a start. Would like to think there will be a big turnover this summer and we go back to bringing in young talented players who wont be on ridiculous wages as appose to the 70k a week of squad player Vestegaard and 80 of Perez

....only on the proviso that Tielemans goes!!!

Team 1         2

GK Kasper/Ward                              Yes

RB Ricardo/Castangne                   - Castagne wants to play in one position only, and that is Right Back. New deal for Ricardo therefore makes no sense.

CB Tarkowski/Evans                       - Definitely Tarkowski. Evans problem is as good as career ending.

CB Fofana/Soyuncu                        - Yes

LB Justin/Thomas                            - Yes

CM Ndidi/Soumare                          - Yes

CM KDH/Praet                                 - I do not believe the relationship between Praet and Rodgers is repairable.

RW Ali Cho/Albrighton                    - Not convinced by Cho, we can do a lot better. Albrighton's presence needed around the team.

CAM Maddison/Perez                     - Maddison back on track, Rodgers infatuation with Perez has waned, not sure if he will still be here next summer.

LW Barnes/Lookman                       - Yes

ST Vardy/Daka                                - Yes

Why does it make no sense? We struggle with squad depth and options so refusing to give a player a new deal just because one player only wants to play in one position is a bit naive.

I cant overstate how much I dont want us to get Tarkowski

I'm sure you'll get your wish. He'll end up at Newcastle as they'll offer huge wages and he'll be a guaranteed starter there.

I don't see the harm in having 2 quality players for 1 position. Especially given both players injury issues.

For the record, If Albrighton even decides he wants to play in goal then I 100% support him and think he’ll be great. Just sayin’

....We are not going to have two players of that calibre for the one position!!!

I would see Castagne leaving if he was not guaranteed the Right Back position. He has been shunted around along the back line (due to injuries this season) and his form has suffered for it. He was not happy at his last club for the same reason.

I would be surprised if he was told he wouldn't have to be versatile in his position. While he has his preferences, gotta show a bit of flexibility. Especially in a time of squad injuries. He may not be special per se, but versatility is a very underrated trait! But I'd rather have two quality players in the same position than 1 good/1 adequate just because 1 of those players doesn't want to play anywhere else. Castagne strikes me as professional enough to get on with it.

I think his form may have suffered anyway through carrying injuries, not to mention the horrible eye injury he got last summer.

I've always been a huge Albrighton fan, but I definitely agree, I don't really see him having enough as a winger these days and I don't see that as his position anymore. He's played much more of a wing-back over the past couple of seasons and he's even doing alright as a full-back so far this season.

                         Schmeichel

Castagne    Fofana       Soyuncu     Justin

                            Ndidi

           Maddison             Kiernan DH

New RW                                            Barnes

                             Daka

GK; Ward

DEF: Ricardo, Evans, Amartey, Thomas,

MD: Soumare

WING: Lookman, Albrighton

ST: Vardy, Iheanacho

Look to offload / Sell

Vestegaard

Choudhury

Mendy

Tielemans

Perez

Conclusion - On this seasons form I hope we replace Soyuncu but maybe being baby sitted by Fofana will mean his performances improve. However, I think that’s a decent base for next season. I’m looking at recouping between £40-50m ish from those players.

I will put this out RIGHT now if YOURI leaves and we don’t invest in a CLASS midfielder we will end up been a mid table side , then we will start to lose players that we want to keep and it will be a lot harder to bring class players back to the club without having to pay overs which we won’t do .
U have to replace class with class or very close to class it .

Agree. Whilst kdh can fulfil youri’s role temporarily, he’s not the long term solution. Whatever we get for youri we will need to add considerably to replace him.

Do we even know how much youre is worth and whether we can expect to get that? While it’s a high probability we will get a few offers there’s a chance it might be from clubs he’s not interested in or that the offers don’t meet our selling price. Prepare for a possibility he doesn’t go anywhere!

He didn’t exactly light up the euros for Belgium or been that spectacular this season either. Let’s wait & see what happens.

We will let Nacho go and he'll go on to be someone's first choice number 9 and get 20 a season. Don't think Vards will be the first pick next season either, it'll be Daka imo.

The rest will be similar, we don't have the turnover to spend big and King Power can't/won't pump cash in.
