This is almost certainly a knee jerk reaction but I'm almost 40 and I really can't think of a worse performance. When you consider the talent we have available, the difference in league status. That was horrific.

Second half way so disappointing. If we had come out fighting and made it 3-2 then it’s game on and you’d back us to finish the job.

Instead they came out weak and insipid, no fight, went 4-1 down and then basically clocked off for the rest of the match.

It was truly embarrassing and has become a real consistent feature of our performances this season.

Is that our heaviest defeat this season as well?

I am making no excuses whatsoever. But the sooner we get a full strength defence back the better.

So far 🙈 joint with West Ham away first trip of the season

What makes you think he can turn it around?

I don't. It's just if he doesn't get sacked, he should come out fighting rather than be apathetic and apologetic.

4-1 flattered us- as damning as it gets.

There is nothing today that isn't a huge negative on the manager, be it preparation, set-up, mentality, whatever.

Glaringly obvious Luke needs to go out on loan. I can’t understand what was achieved leaving him on today. Felt such a relief to see Ricardo pull the shirt back on. Having him and justin as the full backs in the next game is the only positive thought I can take away from today’s horror-show.

Thomas has been very, very good this season. Had a shocker today.

Yes great having Ricardo on the pitch but he's an absolute shadow of his former self, in no way is he an upgrade on Thomas.

To be fair I'm glad BR has called it a poor performance and questioned the players hunger because that is exactly what we are saying

But it's his job to get them playing well and keeping them motivated if he can't do that, then drop them or leave. Claiming he is seeing worrying things from his players after a zero movement transfer window is concerning.

Why does Soyuncu keep getting a shirt ... no passion .. no pride .. never looks remotely interested

No one to replace him with, we can’t start Vestergaard and Amartey as our can pairing

It's the worst performance I can remember since we lost to Newport County under Puel...

I remember going to see us lose 5-1 at Notts County years and years ago, I think Brian Little was in charge. It was a sunny day and the beer was flowing before the game, it all came back to me today watching that shambles.

4-1. I was there too. A Coatsworth and Carey masterclass. Everyone intrigued pre-match to see our new record signing Mark Blake make his debut.

Thomas wasn’t the only problem. He was like a rabbit in the headlights. But the whole defence was poor. Soyuncu was a liability all game. Amartey an absolute catastrophe. Justin not quite up to the pace yet. Add to that Ndidi’s shambolic performance in midfield and Tielemans’ anonymity.  Forest had the desire. We had a premier league misguided arrogance which is built on sand. Our performance was shocking. We have no one who can stand up and be counted. The best team deservedly won…and good luck to them in the next round.

I agree with all that, apart from the last bit.
